collapse expand iconDescription

Ukuleles are popular for a reason-they are just plain fun to play. Slightly larger than a concert, the Diamond Head DU-200T Tenor Ukulele is carefully handcrafted from select mahogany and combined with a bridge and fingerboard made of rosewood for a soulful sound and excellent playability. Tenor ukuleles are great for taking solos with their long scale length that allows for more intricate and interesting musical lines. Tuning is easy with reliable, guitar-style tuning machines that are perfect for the beginner or the advanced player. Topped off with perfectly dressed frets, quality strings and a pro set-up, these Diamond Head Ukes are a great deal.

Includes gig bag.

I play guitar and mandolin. Bought this uke to try something different and possibly take with me on vacation trips because of the smaller size. Arrived as promised but unfortunately, I could not get the uke to stay in tune. Every time I tried to play it, the tuning went to the sharp side. It looked and felt great but the quality of the tone just was not there. Maybe I just got a bad uke.

I bought this with a little trepidation as I couldn't find a product review on any of the music store sites. I'm sure glad I pulled the trigger as this has turned out to be a beautiful little instrument, vry nice sounding too. Just like most, the first couple of weeks at least will be spent stretching the strings, but it seems each time I pick it up to practice, it is a little closer to staying in tune than the day before. Once I actually learn how to play it I do intend on buying higher quality strings for it, but the strings it came with are great for learning. I would recommend this little jewel 100% to anyone wanting a low cost quality instrument especially to start out on.
