DrumDial

collapse expand iconDescription

DrumDial quickly and precisely tunes all drums by accurately measuring drumhead tension, not tension rod torque. Tension rod torque can be used to tell you when you are over-tightening a bolt to prevent thread damage, but is not accurate for drum tuning because of the difference in screw tolerances, plating, corrosion, and thread wear.

You can eliminate these problems by using a DrumDial to measure drumhead tension directly from the drumhead, allowing you to precisely tune your drums faster and easier than ever before. DrumDial has been designed and manufactured to the highest quality standards with all the key features you would expect from the best drum tuner available.

Drum Dial is the best tuner available.

I have 4 sets and 6 snares. Since I gig on a regular basis this devise has saved me hours of tuning by ear. One I have a drum tuned to the sound I want I can duplicate that tuning every time....My drums have never sounded so good. It took a little while to get familiar with the device. But with the tuning being done on the head instead of on the lug method, it shows me when a head is also defective. Which is something you can't always tell out of the box. Very useful product. I would recommend any starting drummer to learn by ear first, then use a dial. I wish I had bought one much sooner.

it has its uses

It actually tunes pretty good, at least as close as most normal drummers do. But the real advantage to this is in recording and having to change heads. If you keep a log of what your setting are you can not tell a difference in a recording, when you had to replace a head in the middle of it. Now that's a real big deal right there.

puts your drums in perfect tuning. no longer listening for tiny tone differences, drum dial gives you a scientific number you can repeat over and over. comes with a chart for different sized drums and "high/low" tuning ranges. drums stay in tune longer since the heads are in perfect tension

  • Good tool for drum tuning

This device helps you get repeatable tunings once you experiment and find the sound you want. Especially good for matching tunings of top/bottom heads. Not perfect always but gets you in the ballpark.

  • Precision and speed are always a plus with Drum Dial!

Either one would be a good choice. It would be a matter of personal preference.
