I use the volume pedal in my signal chain almost more than the volume knob on my guitar. You can move it around from the effects loop or in front of the amp if your not getting the desired response. Dunlop makes a robust, durable and very responsive volume pedal. The only thing is that it looks exactly like my Dunlop Cry Baby Wah pedal.

I bought this pedal at a local pawn shop, yes I know I didn't buy this from there, I got it for $20 and it was a VERY GOOD DEAL. If you get this and cannot get the volume to 0/zero, all you do is open it up (If you're afraid to void the warrenty, not that it matters, take it to the local GC and ask them to fix it.) OT: Just look up "Dunlop High Gain Volume Pedal Mods" there is a site that says how. Thats the only reason I gave this a 4 out of 5. And I have been able to do fade ins and outs just fine ala "The Count of Tuscany". TL;DR Good pedal, does what it should.

  • You better test it first!!!

This pedal is merely a wah pedal CONVERTED into a volume pedal & the tensioner inside is a wire clip butted up against the hear drive! There is almost NO ability to fade in & out with such little pedal travel, so if that's what you want look elsewhere. The NEW Dunlop volume pedal looks promising because it seems to be made from scratch, not a Frankenstien junk heap. I sent mine back & will give Dunlop another try with the new pedal. I rarted it "2" because it is a non-powered simple pedal and noise-free, but useable only for expression, not fade-ins & outs. Also, it did not go down to zero volume when I opened it, but you can fiddle with the mechanism/potentiometer position to adjust that if needed.
