The Dunlop John Petrucci Jazz III 1.5mm guitar picks, designed to the exacting specifications of Dream Theater guitarist John Petrucci. The polished beveled tip and raised JP logo provide maximum speed, accuracy, and grip for Petrucci's progressive rock virtuosity. Now shredders at any level can unleash their full potential with picks tailored to the needs of the fastest players.

Ultex Material Ensures Durability and Comfort

Made from durable Ultex, the John Petrucci Jazz III picks maintain their shape through rigorous practice and performance. The slightly yielding Ultex material also provides a comfortable, tacky grip with reduced slippage for complex passages and extended solos.

Beveled Tip Enables Lightning-Fast Release

The precisely beveled tip of the John Petrucci Jazz III picks allows for impeccably fast pick attack and release. The beveled edge glides effortlessly over the strings with minimum drag, facilitating the blistering speed, and precision of Petrucci's playing.

Raised Logo Adds Extra Grip

The raised JP logo on the John Petrucci Jazz III picks provides extra grip and control. The unique texture gives fingers more to hold onto during frenzied shredding and extended practice sessions.

Available Thicknesses Suit Any Playing Style

The John Petrucci Jazz III picks are available in 1.5mm, 2.0mm and 3.0mm thicknesses to suit any playing technique. The 1.5mm gauge offers extra flexibility and speed, the 2.0mm provides a balanced tone and attack, and the 3.0mm delivers maximum volume and definition. Find your perfect pick to unleash your shredding potential.

A pleasant surprise

Jazz picks have always been too small for me, so I don't usually buy them. I honestly bought this set because it's Petrucci's brand - never intending on using them more than a few times just for fun. Here's the kicker - I love these picks! I no longer use my Tortex, Ultex, Fender Mediums - all of which were my favorites for decades. The Petrucci pick is slightly larger than a standard Dunlop Jazz, it's contoured thicker and textured at the finger surface area, and the "JP" raised logo helps grip the pick better so you avoid the slippery-pick-drop syndrome. I've been trying other no-slip picks for a long time, and these are my favorites. I'm switching from standard pick sizes so these smaller picks improve my accuracy when playing fast runs. I bought 4 more packs after I tried them out.

My playing got a lot better when I started using these exclusively. You don't realize what a difference it makes until you try another cheap variety pack pick. I'll buy more than I need and plant them around my case, my computer bag, my desk, etc. so that I always have one handy.

  • I would buy again great picks

Comfortable pick design, that allows plenty of attack for heavy strumming, precision for single note runs, and still can play soft open chords with out sounding harsh.
