These have a good piano-like quality to them. They are not overly bright, despite what the name implies. Good clarity and sustain, feel very nice on the fingers, firm tension without being stiff. They are a nice playing string. My only complaint is that the low end is a bit thin, especially on the E string below the 4th fret, so I'm not sure how long they will stay. I have them on a passive Precision Bass. I usually play DRs for roundwound strings. Thought I'd try something different, but I may end up going back to some Lo-Riders.
Very bright short life

I rated these strings 3 stars because the E and A string went flat after two weeks of daily use, I may have just got a bad batch. They were very bright out of the package and have sustain for days. I also noticed when playing not plugged in the strings rattle not sure if there supposed to or not. It's not fret buzz.
