The Dunlop Ultex Medium Thumbpicks 4-Pack, bringing unparalleled durability and tone to thumbpick players. Made of Ultex, a proprietary thermoplastic material, these medium thumbpicks produce a crisp, articulate sound while maintaining their shape through extended use and frequent play. Their bright tone cuts through mixes with clarity and punch.

Ultex Construction for Long-Lasting Play

Ultex is Dunlop's most durable thumbpick material, specially engineered to withstand the demands of performance and practice. Ultex thumbpicks retain their shape and pick profile even after hours of play, producing a consistent tone and feel across multiple uses. While traditional thumbpicks can warp or dull over time, Ultex thumbpicks endure.

A Medium Pick for Versatile Playing

With a medium gauge and rounded tip, Dunlop's Ultex Medium Thumbpicks provide a balanced tone that suits a variety of musical styles. Their tapered shape offers both precision and flexibility, allowing for articulate single-note runs as well as full, strummed chords. The medium pick produces a warm, balanced tone that fits well in any mix.

A Pack of Four for Reliable Play

Dunlop's Ultex Medium Thumbpicks 4-Pack provides thumbpick players with a reliable set of picks for gigging and practice. With four medium thumbpicks in each pack, players always have a backup on hand in case one goes missing before a show or recording session. The convenient 4-pack format also makes these premium thumbpicks an ideal choice for players seeking the durability and tone of Ultex at an affordable price.

Premium Quality from a Trusted Brand

For over 50 years, Dunlop has produced high-quality guitar accessories for players around the world. The Ultex Medium Thumbpicks 4-Pack continues this tradition of excellence, bringing Dunlop's signature durability and tone to thumbpick players seeking a premium solution for their craft.

My Favorite Thumb picks!

Although brighter than playing with the thumb alone, I use a thumb pick to save my fingers and tendons. These Dunlops fit securely without any discomfort and are just the right amount of clearance from the strings for my playing style. The material seems to have a bit of "give" and less harshness than other designs I've used. Striking base notes of each chord yields commanding and precise progressions up and down the scale that add to my playing. I always tuck two around the strings above the nut of my guitar so I am never without one!

O.K. At Best

Fred Kelly Delrin Speed and Slick picks are the best when it comes to comfort and performance. I do like the Ultex material and durability of the Dunlop though. I own several different thumb picks, including custom made and the Dunlop Ultex med thumb pick is just another average thumb pick to me. I will say though the Dunlop Ultex has a nice thump with sparkle. I could modify the Dunlop to be like my Fred Kelly Slick, but then, I could just grab my Fred Kelly Polypropylene slick, but who knows, maybe I'll dig it down the road.

This pick holds better on my thumb than any previous thumb picks that I've used. The thickness is also more pliable allowing for lighter/sensitive playing.

  • I would buy this product again.

Bottom line use will be determined by the nature of the music itself being played, and the skill level of the musician.

I'm brand new to learning. Getting used to how to hold a pick was rough but these helped tremendously. Great for novices but I'm sure for the more experienced player they would be tough to use on the up strum of chords or notes. Easily used if just a picker though.
