I used these pickups in a mostly straightforward upgrade to my Squier CV 70s jazz. Had to temporarily remove the connector clips to get the wiring through some of the tunneling, but YMMV. The sound is clear and crisp.
Everything I Expected and More

I have been a bass player for several churches, and continue to do so now on a weekly basis. I played bass in several church events and fundraisers aswell, but never really got the low-end and punch from my bass that I wanted. It always seemed a little too shallow, and behind the music in volume. I finally invested in an active set to replace the passive stock pickups, and I couldn't be happier (I also invested in a nice bass-booster pedal, which is phenomenal). I bring my 5-String SX Vintage Series Bass equipped with these EMGs every Sunday now, and the tone could not be more impressive. I recently bought a 4-String P-Bass Style Fretless for a more wide-range of sounds, and it won't be long before I stick some EMGs on it aswell. Also on a side note, running these EMGs through a nice Ampeg Bass amp, is a bass dream come true.

as a replacement pickup it is hard to beat. Easy to install, sounds great! However, the input jack is designed to fit a pick guard. You may have to use some creative thinking to get your bass back in action. Save your old parts!

These pick-ups are all in one if you play metal and jazz, don't play with 2 basses and spent 300 extra dollers just by these pick-ups they seem like your playing with a dean metal bass but you look down and your playing a fender jazz bass.

Will these fit a Squier Jazz Affinity model?
It depends on the model. They actually have a set that has the mounting screws with a bit different spacing between them. I would say 95% of them will fit without modification.
