shredding perfection

I've had this masterpiece for a couple months now and all I can say is pure perfection. I've been a die hard ESP fan ever since I started listening to all sorts of j-metal, from Dir en Grey to Takayoshi Ohmura. One thing that ESP has over any other guitar company is the range of bodies to choose from. when I bought this it was more or less a new guitar to play with before my custom was finished from another company. in turn this beast had set a really high bar to hit before my custom was finished. For all my guitars I name them almost like giving a kind of "personality" the guitar would fit to. while it was on the way I couldn't come up with anything but the second I jacked this into my system I had only one feeling, POWER. thus named it after Vergil's sword from Devil may cry, Yamato. The specs on this beauty is nothing to scoff at. lightweight wood with great tone, sleek neck-thru construction, comfortable curves great for playing standing and sitting, along with a beautiful flamed purple burst. the pickups and electronics themselves are going to be a standard in any other guitars I plan to order. The EMG's that are installed give the player so much versatility to achieve that unique tone your looking for. The stand out with the electronics is that you can switch between single and humbucker for both active pickups. I try to achieve a tone along the lines of a mix of Takayoshi Ohmura, Syu from Galneryus and Marty Friedman. this beast has given me the means of achieving this tone. If you're willing to shell out the money and your a fan of Esp or shredding in general I'd this is a must have.

This this is utterly fantastic to play! It is very thin and extremely comfortable to play, despite the spiky look! The EMG 89s with coil split/taps give a ton of tonal options and they all sound outstanding!
Beautiful looking guitar

I asked for bone breaker pickups, and it was shipped stock. Not sure why. The pickups that came in it are a bit hollow sounding or I would have rated it 5 starts. Unsure if they will honor my request and change the pickups .
