Perfect metal guitar

I bought mine used from GC. It's one of the earlier MIK models and the craftsmanship on this guitar is on point. Has all you need for a metal guitar. One pick up (you're a liar if you claim you need 2), a Floyd, and most importantly it's black. The only criticism I have for this guitar is that the volume knob is way too close to the bridge and the kill switch is unnecessary. Other than those issues I would say it's on par with their MIJ models.
Great guitar / Small issue with the electronics

I bought the guitar as an open box. The neck, the finish, and guitar itself are incredible. Being an open box I expected a few scratches and blemishes but the only sign of it was a minor chip on one of the tips of the V which is barely noticeable since it is toward the back side. I did have an issue with the electronics. The volume pot was incorrectly soldered. I contacted customer service and sent them a picture because I wanted to get it repaired. They offered that I could send the guitar back as a return but would not help with a repair. I ended up taking it to a local tech who repaired the electronics and did a set up for me. Cost me an extra $80. This is the only reason for the 3 stars otherwise it would be a 5. Other than this one issue the guitar is exactly what I wanted and now that it's fixed I can't put it down. It has a super low action, fast neck, holds it tuning, and is really fun and comfortable to play. Overall I would still consider it a great purchase and would recommend this guitar.
