    I was really excited to get this pedal. I noticed a nice all around good tone when I first used it and I was very happy. However, after a month or so I started to notice a lot of interference and overall yucky sounds coming out of my amp. I checked all my pedals and sadly the bass preacher was the culprit. I haven't had any issues since removing it from my pedal board. I feel bad leaving a one star review, but it's unusable. When it was working it was great.

    Simple bass compressor that's really responsive. Evens out your attack and tone without coloring. Allows you to dial in just the right amount of compression - a little goes a long way. You don't want to squelch your dynamic, just even out the peaks for a bit fuller, cleaner tone. Like all Electro-harmonix pedals, this one works great and is a good value.

    I am new to playing bass so I don't have a lot of experience but this pedal is great. This pedal smooths out the sound of my bass and gives it a great tone. I play in a church band and everyone immediately noticed the improved sound. The only issue I had with my order is that I paid for two day shipping and it took four days to get to me.

    Electro Harmonix has been "Rockin the House" for decades. At first I wasn't sure I wanted this unit, bought it any way. Here is my signal chain: guitar - Bass preacher - Tascam 2488 neo. boom. ..1997 Squire 5 string P Bass - Bass preacher - Neo ...boom. Ive tried a number of others, eg; dyna comp; too heavy handed. Boss limiter enhancer: quite good. This puppy is easy, effective and as heavy handed as you want it to be. Heres the thing; the toggle "attack " switch settings, makes you think. It changes your strumming and picking methods. I believe its made me a better player. MADE IN THE U.S.A..!
