Electro-Harmonix Bass Mono Synth Bass Synthesizer

Description
Its intuitive layout makes it easy to use and easy to dial in good sounds quickly. DRY controls the volume of your dry bass signal at the Synth Output. SYNTH controls the volume of the Synthesizer sound at the Synth Output. Used together they let you create just the right mix. The SENS control, short for sensitivity, adjusts how your playing dynamics trigger the synthesizer and allows you to fine tune the way the pedal responds to your bass rig and playing style.
With the CTRL knob you can adjust a key parameter for each of the eleven synth types. It varies depending on the preset and provides more tweakability for customizing your sound. There’s also an EXP input which lets you control an entirely different parameter in real-time with an expression pedal!
Using the built-in Preset footswitch, a user customizable preset for each of the 11 synth sounds can be created, saved and recalled. The factory presets are also easy to restore should you wish to.
From lush, warm sounds to sharp, percussive stabs, the Bass Mono Synth puts a collection of cool bass synths at your fingertips.

Very Pleasantly Surprised!
I knew Electro Harmonix made good stuff, but I have tried 3 other synth pedals from more "boutique" companies, and wasn't happy with ANY of them. This Mono Synth blew them all away, plus it was much less expensive. It tracks nearly perfectly (and low), the sounds are very rich & authentic, and the presets cover pretty much anything you could want out of a synth. My only complaint is there's no way to cycle through the modes without bending over and turning a knob. But I can live with that due to the quality of the effects themselves.

Never again with EHX - 2 bad pedals in a row
The first Bass Mono Synth I ordered arrived with a broken foot switch that must have been snapped off during packaging at the EHX factory. FYI - the inside of the foot switch is made with a cheap and brittle plastic. Not good for durability. The second one worked fine, but I had a hard time finding synth sounds that I was truly wanting to replicate for one of my cover bands. However, I did eventually manage to find a few sounds I could use and be happy with. Once this pedal was added to my signal chain, I started having issues with the consistency of the signal through all of my other pedals. There would be times when practicing that everything was working just fine. However, if I turned off my rig from practicing without unplugging anything and then came back later that day or the next day, I would be greeted with no signal whatsoever. Unplugging and reconnecting all of the pedals would get it going again, but that was not something I was happy about needing to do every time I played (practice or show). The final straw for this pedal came at a show I played at yesterday. After dealing (AGAIN) with the no signal at first during sound check, I got the signal back and made it through the first set with no issues. However, during the last song of our second set, I had a part during a bridge where I didn't play. When I came back to play, I suddenly had an extremely weak and distorted sub-octave signal coming from my amp. I scrambled during the break to diagnose the problem and get everything working for the third set. The Mono Synth was the first pedal in the chain. After unplugging it from the chain, BOOM! The full bass signal came roaring back. I put the synth back in the chain with backup patch cables to make sure that wasn't the issue, and back to weak and distorted sub-octave signal. I bypassed the synth and made it through the rest of the show with no issues. I am returning this pedal and will never consider an EHX pedal again. Terrible quality!

Nice product for studio use. Not practical for stage performance
Product doesn't track notes properly

If the tracking was reliable, it would be a great product. However, if you're playing a string of notes it will jump up and down. It needs precise, sustain notes for it to be usable.
Fun pedal, more of a toy.

Entertaining pedal, no usable sounds for any type of practical use, I guess if you have a Motown/Dazz Band thing going you would find a use for this but is lacking on that level as well. Not super responsive and some glitching occurs. The never ending search for a quality Synth Pedal...
