Was looking for an overdrive with some control and bite. An overdrive that doesn't turn to mush. An overdrive that retains clarity and shape. An OD that wouldn't break the bank but still sounded like a million bucks. I found it.

This may be EHX's best overdrive pedal on the market, and I'm not just saying that to be dramatic. With the four knobs, you can dial in so many different tones that its versatility seems endless. You can set it up like a Tube Screamer, you can get a clean boost out of it, you can crank the drive all the way up for some heavier tones, etc. I was pretty surprised with how much volume and drive is on tap. Definitely a winner here, and it doesn't seem like it's trying to imitate anything else on the market right now, which is rare these days.

This was my first pedal, i got it a while back from a local music shop, i tried it out but i didn't quite know what to look for in a pedal feature wise, as i was just getting into effects. i knew it sounded good though, so i bought it. I've done many gigs and shows on this wonderful machine and won't be leaving my board anytime soon, you can get clean boost, treble boost, tube screamer, even fuzz if you dime all the knobs, for the price, this really can't be beat and is without a doubt one of my favorite OD pedals, i highly recommend it.

Hard to believe such a great sounding overdrive could be had at this price. Sounds as good if not better than many boutique pedals that cost much more. Probably not your go to pedal for metal but for blues to hard rock it is one you cant go wrong with.

This pedal is fantastic! It sounds amazing through my Twin Reverb. It's a pretty transparent OD and doesn't add that mid-range bump like a Tube Screamer (not that there is anything wrong with a mid boost). Having separate knobs for bass and treble really give you more tone shaping capabilities compared to one tone knob. I play a Les Paul and a Tele, so the extra controls really help. There is a ton of variation with the gain. Rock, blues, country, this is your pedal. It may not work well for metal. You can turn the gain way down and use it as a lead boost, or crank it and get a great crunch. It also works extremely well for gain stacking pedals. It's very responsive to the volume knob on your guitar, as well as your picking attack. It blows away boutique pedals I've tried, and for this price, you can't go wrong. Also, just because I was confused and had to do some research, there are two designs for this pedal, but they sound exactly the same.
