This pedal has amazing tone and the analog delay adds a great, dark sound quality to it. Getting a tap tempo at this price is amazing, plus you get an expression pedal output, a send/return loop, and six different tap temp settings. You probably won't find too much practical use for the modulation, but it is fun to play around with! This is definitely my favorite delay pedal I have ever played.

I did a lot of research to find a delay that did a lot of really trippy psychedelic things, that had lots of remote control (expression pedal) options, and that was around two hundred or less. I have had this pedal now for a couple weeks and have not yet had time to sample all that it can do, if that gives you an idea. I'm in love with it. One thing ALL USERS OF ANALOG DELAY PEDALS NEED TO KNOW, especially the guy who wrote the 3-star review. All analog delay pedals, when pushed to longer delay times, exhibit some lo-fi decay on the repeats. ALL of them. If that bothers you, set the delay time lower. If you want longer with no buzz, get a digital delay, but then you don't get the true analog darkening of the repeats which no digital delay can really do right. It's a trade off. Although I don't usually like the lo-fi sound, sometimes it can be used to nice effect, kinda like wind chimes. Anyway, this is my favorite delay short of the Pigtronix Echolution, which I can't afford.

This pedal is great. Its delays are perfect. The mod effect is fantastic and can really make your sound grow 10 times from what it was. The tap divide switch does everything you can need. Get this pedal if you really want an awesome delay that can do it all.

To preface this review, I had the basic Memory Boy delay pedal before buying this one. I liked it a good bit- the modulation and analogue qualities were new and a lot of fun to me. There were some gripes I had with it of course. But this new and improved version not only fixed my gripes, but even added more features to love. First and foremost, tap delay. Not a common feature in analogue delays, this is a very welcome feature. On top of the tap delay are rhythmic subdivision options, which are always useful. Next, the modulation has many more controllable parameters, creating some crazy sounds available to employ. Then there's the FX Loop that allows you to put any pedal(s) in its loop and have every repeat get "effect"ed. And last, there are now knobs to adjust the blend and gain, which can be invaluable depending on your rig. Make sure to research the easter egg! This pedal has become a staple for my rig now. The possibilities go from simple atmospheric reverb-esque touches to crazy pitch-modulating journeys through space. I can't recommend this enough!

I was a little let down when I got this delay. I ordered it online, so I hadn't gotten a chance to use it in store or anything like that. I liked the sounds I heard on the demo videos online. The delay tone in the unit itself sounded great. When I set the delay time to longer settings (with the knob or the tap tempo), the signal started to distort. I'm not talking about "good" analog overdrive, but unpleasant and nasty distorted sounds. The modulation on the pedal seemed overall unusable in my opinion. And overall, the pedal didn't really feel like a unit that would last me a long time--mostly the knobs and switches here--the metal casing would definitely stand up to abuse. If only the other aspects were as good as the sound of the delay itself... Perhaps I got a dud. I won't be buying another one though. I returned it and I'm still looking for a nice delay.
