Fantastic Pedal!

This is a great pedal to overdrive your amp with. I only use tube amps and this pedal works wonders! It will overdrive the preamp to get that great old cranked sound! It will even take it into a complete distortion if you put the level all the up...

did not work for me

....i was looking for a clean boost pedal to add a little clean headroom to my low watt tube head...this unit did not work for me....the tone and boost it added was very "dirty"...i wanted a pedal to stay clean and sparkly only a little louder for solos when activated....i returned this pedal, and have since purchased a Mod-tone Mini-mod Clean Boost, which so far is doing what i was looking for.

  • A little extra gain is what I needed

This pedal is perfect for adding a little extra gain (or a lot of gain if you like) directly from your guitar pickups. I use it after an aby pedal to make up for the slight gain loss. Also sounds great directly into the clean channel of an amp. Can add a bit of bass so use wisely. Very well built. Wish that the battery cover was easier to remove. #sweepstakes

This is a nice old-school sounding booster. I have two of these in my signal chain. The first adds mids and lows to beef up tone a little, and the second is a solo booster. Both are a worthwhile addition to my pedal board

This pedal is great for guitars, but it creates distortion if used on an active bass.

This is a great unit at a great price! It's one of the key pieces in my project of recreating the sound I had in the early-mid 70s. Best to all.

I should have spent more; you get what you pay for. Worked for about 2 months then started humming. The 1/4 in plug on the left side was loose to start with and now will not stay in all the way. Pretty much useless now.
