I only need a fuzz on a couple of songs (no, not Satisfaction or InnaGadaDaVida) when a typical OD or distortion won't do the trick. Bought this one due to the price and brand reputation. Simple to use. Sounds good. Well built. Looks good on the board.
This is a winner

After trying a couple different distortion Pedals from EH, I picked up The Satisfaction, and boom, golden. This pedal has such a crisp, defined fuzz. Some other distortion pedals have a grey, washed out sound to my ears. If you love vintage fuzz, up to a hard rock distortion, look no further than the EX Satisfaction Fuzz.

If you're looking for a sixties style fuzz without breaking the bank, look no further. Where this unit really shines is it's customizability. It has three easily accessible, empty pads on the board. 2 for clipping diodes, and one for a bass capacitor. Grab a handful of components, and mix n match your way to your perfect vintage fuzztone.
It's the real deal

A reviewer thought the original must have had less high end boost but no - I had the original and it was a Sonic spike. It died after a year so I don't know what it's potential might be because I didn't know much about tone at that point. Make sure you want the sound you hear on the recording.

will this work with a DI into a PA system? Currently, using a Fender Strat in a PA sysatem and having problems with sound level (low) will using this effects pedal help boost sound level using in a PA with a DI ?
Using the Electro-Harmonix Satisfaction Fuzz pedal can increase your guitar's output level into a DI and PA system, but it may not fully resolve low-volume issues. The Satisfaction Fuzz features a Volume knob that controls the output level, allowing you to boost the signal beyond unity gain, especially when the Attack knob is set to noon or higher. This can help compensate for signal loss when connecting your Fender Strat through a DI box into a PA system. Tone Characteristics: The Satisfaction Fuzz imparts a classic '60s-style fuzz tone, which may not be suitable for all musical contexts. Signal Chain: Ensure the pedal is placed before the DI box in your signal chain. Alternative Solutions: If you're seeking a clean volume boost without added distortion, a dedicated clean boost pedal might be more appropriate. In summary, while the Satisfaction Fuzz can increase your signal level, its tonal coloration and design may not make it the ideal solution for addressing low-volume issues in a PA setup.
