Simple & Affordable
I'be been looking for a good noise gate for a while, but all the recommended ones were just to expensive for me to afford on a tight budget. I came across this bad boy one day and thought I'd give it a shot. I loved it within the first 15 minutes of using it. I use a lot of gain so my amp gets very noisy especially in my small room. It doesn't affect my tone whatsoever, elimates almost all feedback instantly when I'm not playing, and even makes my tapping leads and hammer on riffs sound much cleaner. If you need a noise gate pedal that's good quality and on the cheaper side I'd recommend this. Oh did I forget to mention how easy it is to use too?

Good but not for my rig
This pedal its good if you are not using it with a high gain amp. I used it through a peavey 5150 to avoid some of the noise coming from boosting my signal with the maxon od plus and it worked well. The problems are 1- the tone changed and sustain changed a lot 2- theres a 2 sec noise everytime i stop playing. I check all my cables and my settings. Does not go away. Again im using my old decimator 1 untl i get the decimator 2. Unfortunately this one does not work for me. I wont recoment this for heavy distorted amps.

Worst noise gate money can buy

Save your money and buy a used ISP Decimator, this thing couldn't even gate an MXR 6-Band EQ on ISO power. I missed the return window and listed it for half price, but you can't even GIVE this thing away. I'd say it makes a good paperweight, that's about it.
Good bang for the buck!

WOW. A great little pedal that does what it's intended for with a bonus buffered split out option and an FX loop BUILT IN. I have a very noisy rig and this thing just shuts it ALL down tight. I went to bed one night and forgot to turn off my cranked amp and guitar... I just put it in the stand and forgot about it. .... next morning I go to pick it up and am perplexed that it was on the entire time without a PEEP. Wish I had gotten this along time ago. It filters out all of the background noise that my EQ generates.

Once above threshold, lets EVERYTHING through + bad delay.

It does what it does, but isn't not as good as the Boss Suppressor. It's a gate which sounds very harsh. It lets everything through once something is above it's 'threshold', including the nasty static and guitar slide noises. There is also a delay between the sound cutting out. The Boss Suppressor was what I was currently using and it sounds way better than this one. I was buying the Electro Harmonix Silencer hoping it would be an upgrade, but I should have done more research. I also heard the ISP Decimator was good, I might try that.
