This microphone is amazing for snare drums. I used to have a really nice maple snare, and I used a PL35 on it in my studio, and, while the snare sounded great by itself, the PL35 just brought something really special to the sound. It sounded really bright, with just the right attack and snare noise, and this was all without any EQ. Now, I have a different snare, a steel one that I don̴t like nearly as much. I gave the maple one back to my brother, but the steel snare sounds almost as good. I would never use any other microphone for snare drum ever again, because you don̴t need anything better than this mike. If you̴re looking for a good snare drum mike, you̴ve found what you need.

What are the physical dimensions of this mic? How big is it? Is it small enough to work on small diameter toms without getting in the way? Thanks. DC
