Introducing ZLX G2 Portable Loudspeakers from Electro-Voice

Description
The Electro-Voice ZLX-8P G2 8" two-way powered loudspeaker is an absolute dynamo worthy of the legendary EV name. This compact yet powerful speaker features a completely redesigned cabinet with a 55° monitor angle optimized for stage use. Powered by Dynacord, it has a built-in 4-channel digital mixer with integrated studio-quality effects, from EQ and compression to ducking and feedback elimination. Using the free QuickSmart app for mobile, you get full wireless control and monitoring of all audio, effects and mixer functions right from your phone or tablet. With a host of user-friendly features in a durable, ultraportable package, the Electro-Voice ZLX-8P G2 un-complicates live sound for solo musicians, DJs, houses of worship, corporate events and everyday public address.

Impressive Output and Clarity
This mighty 8" powered PA utilizes signature Electro-Voice sound engineering to deliver impressive output and fidelity. Patented Signal Synchronized Transducers (SST) enhance coverage and clarity, simultaneously bolstering low-end reproduction for bass that's punchy and larger than life from such a compact rig. The 8" woofer provides substantial low-frequency response down to 58Hz at -3dB, while the 1.4" titanium compression driver lets recorded music, backing tracks, vocals, guitars and more slice through dense rooms with artfully represented highs up to 20kHz. Despite its small size, the ZLX-8P G2 generates a maximum SPL of 126dB, filling small- to medium-size venues with clear, powerful sound.

Shape Your Sound With Advanced DSP
The ZLX-8P's built-in 4-channel digital mixer lets you dial in the perfect mix right from the speaker, with connections including a pair of XLR/TRS combo jacks, a dedicated Hi-Z input on channel two and stereo Bluetooth. QuickSmart DSP, powered by Electro-Voice sibling brand Dynacord, provides a one-knob compressor, as well as effects like reverb, chorus and delay. An auto-ducking feature reduces music volume when a vocal signal is present, and a 7-band graphic EQ is one convenient way of fine-tuning audio for live performance. With additional global and individual input presets, you can further mold your sound to the room easily.

Wireless Control Using QuickSmart Mobile
The free QuickSmart Mobile app unlocks wireless control of your Electro-Voice ZLX-8P G2, letting you adjust volume, EQ, effects and more right from your phone or tablet. It provides an intuitive way to polish your sonics against the acoustics of any venue, and you can even group up to six ZLX-8P G2 speakers and control them all from one device. QuickSmart Mobile also includes monitoring features like channel solo, so you can hear exactly what you need as you lock down just the right mix. Bluetooth capability additionally lets you link a pair of G2 speakers for a True Wireless Stereo (TWS) setup.

Hassle-Free Setup and Feedback Control
With practical features like Automatic Feedback Suppression, the ZLX-8P G2 makes it easy to set up and sound great. The intelligent DSP analyzes and eliminates feedback using up to 12 notch filters, so you can avoid ringing or howling, even at high volumes. The Hi-Z input is another convenience, which lets you plug instruments straight into the mixer channel without a D.I. box for quick onstage setup. Designed to deliver legendary EV sound in a compact, versatile powered speaker, the ZLX-8P G2 is an all-in-one solution for simplified, hassle-free performance.
For solo artists, DJs and A/V techs looking for premium Electro-Voice sound in a powered PA, the ZLX-8P G2 packs a sonic punch in a portable form factor. It provides the tools to shape your sound in any environment, thanks to an easy-to-use onboard mixer, comprehensive DSP and wireless operation via QuickSmart Mobile. Gear up for your next gig at your local Guitar Center, where you can take home an Electro-Voice ZLX-8P G2 powered speaker.

Magnificent Ceremony/Cocktail Hour Speaker

As an Electro-Voice fan and owner of the ELX200 series speakers. (2) 12P's and (1) 18SP when the new G2 ZLX series was announced at NAMM and released I knew for quite a while that I was interested in the ZLX G2 8P as the replacement to my Alto Professional TS408 that I was using previously. I considered the QSC CP8 and Everse8 which has a cult following of its own. The Everse8 does so many things well and sounds incredible. Ultimately and HAPPILY, I bought my ZLX G2 8P going on 2 weeks ago have already done a few weddings with her and LOVE IT! It's built solid, light, compact (although larger than my Alto it replaces) still fits in my 8" Gator Case. The ZLX 8P is rated at 126 db vs. 121 Everse8 Both are plenty for ceremonial, cocktail hour and as a remote/filler speaker. The EV App opens a world of sound, DSP and mixing options. I'm going to add either a Jackery 500 or Bluetti AC50B to my arsenal giving me waaaay more connectivity options outside of just a battery powered speaker standalone. Verdict: Buy this EV ZLX G2 8P now…and thank me later!
Awesome sound

Great Product but the app is not user friendly, I found it difficult to switch to effect page. Still trying to figure it out but as far as the speaker and the amp and the mixer it is a WOW.
Not worth the retail price for the sound

Had very high hopes for this specific speaker. I use the JBL Eon710 for my kids softball tournaments and was looking for something more compact & similar in sound. The EV Zlx-8p g2 SPL rating is 126dB (that's a reach) while the JBL eon710 SPL rating is 125dB. Side by side sound comparison between the 2 is not even close. Eon710 has more all around. A lot more head room to work with. Tried everything to tweak the Zlx-8p via the EV app, and the djay app, but it's just not it. Glad I didn't sell the eon710
