Elixir Strings is thrilled to introduce the Light Nanoweb Acoustic Guitar Strings. Constructed with 80/20 phosphor bronze wrap wire and Elixir's exclusive NANOWEB coating, these light gauge strings deliver bright, expressive tone with the natural feel of uncoated strings. The NANOWEB coating protects the whole string, preserving tone and tuning stability two to five times longer than uncoated strings.

NANOWEB Coating: An Ultra-Thin Shield Against Tone Loss

Elixir Strings' revolutionary NANOWEB coating protects strings from the damaging effects of dirt, sweat and oils from your hands, enabling extended tone life and tuning stability. Despite its durable protection, the micro-thin coating allows the strings to maintain an uncoated feel. Experience vibrant tone and performance for days longer than uncoated strings.

Phosphor Bronze Wrap Wire: Warmth, Clarity and Focus

The 80/20 phosphor bronze wrap wire delivers a characteristically warm yet focused tone with vibrant clarity. The phosphor bronze alloy is a popular choice for folk and acoustic players seeking to enhance the natural tone of their instrument. Combined with the NANOWEB coating, these strings offer consistent, expressive tone for an extended period.

Light Gage: Comfort and Playability

The light gauge of these strings of 12-53 provides comfortable tension and effortless playability for most acoustic guitarists. The light gauge and NANOWEB coating work together to create a slick, fast-playing string that is gentle on the fingertips.

Built to Withstand

In addition to protecting against grime and corrosion, Elixir's Light Nanoweb Acoustic Guitar Strings are built to withstand temperature and humidity fluctuations. Their unmatched durability provides consistent performance and tone in an array of playing conditions. Trust your tone to the acoustic strings that have set the standard for coated performance.

Elixir Strings are the best!

I have played with many different kinds of strings and i have to say that this one is the BEST. I sound is rich and smooth and simply MIND BLOWING, not to mention they last a lot longer than other strings. You don't have to replace it as often because it is coated and is perfect for people with sweaty hands. Seems a bit more pricey, but worth it in the long run.

What did I pay for?

I have been using D'Addario EXP's (EXP16 and EXP17) on a super-jumbo acoustic guitar. Just on a whim I decided to try these Elixir's (Light Nanoweb .12's) to see the difference in the two as I wanted to really lock down which strings I wanted to use as my choice of strings as I have narrowed it down to EXP and Elixir's because I've heard they were the best. I put the EXP's on and 5 months later I switched to these Elixir's. The EXP's were still practically new - no wear on them, still had really bright tone and lots of reponse. I put the Elixir's on and I will admit that the strings sound good. However, there is the problem - the STRINGS sound good. I want the strings to compliment how my GUITAR sounds. I want my guitar to sound like a guitar and the strings to really bring out the brightness and the bass aspect as well. With the Elixir's it felt like I was playing these expensive strings other than this gorgeous guitar. So overall if you want a coated string for a couple bucks less with, in my opinion, more response and tone, go with D'Addario EXP16's.

The strings ring very prominently and have a noticeable coating on them. I like the 80/20's sort of high range because my Washburn is a little on the low end already. My only issue is that the coating on them is different than other elixir's I have bought, it's like a light white literal coating. It seems fine just different. #sweepstakes

I was honestly shocked by how little I liked these strings. I've always had phosphor bronze light gauge Elixir strings on my Taylor 6-string and I've always liked them. But I figured I'd mix it up and try some 80/20 bronze light gauge strings to see what I thought. I really thought I'd be a fan but I was so disappointed. I run 80/20 bronze light gauge Elixir strings on my Taylor 12-string and they're so bright and crisp and have great sustain. That was not the case on my 6-string. I found these to be dull, muted, lacking sustain, and devoid of the overtones, depth, and richness I was used to. To my ear, they truly made my guitar sound $1000 dollars cheaper immediately. I know strings are a personal preference thing and these might work out for some, but they're so bad on my guitar. I left them on for a week, hoping things would settle and balance out but they haven't. I just ordered a 3 pack of the Elixir phosphor bronze light gauge strings and I'm so eager to go back to them. I doubt I'll ever switch it up on this specific guitar again. If these had been on my guitar when I demoed it in the shop, I wouldn't have even purchased it. I guess it goes to show how impactful the right strings for your instrument really are.

I'll admit that uncoated strings give the best acoustic sound, but for a 69 year old novice these coated Elixir 80/20 Bronze make it so much easier to want to keep on playing. That do start out a bit bright but do settle in nicely in a few days. I like the sparkle I hear in these compared to Phosphour Bronze strings. Kudos to the GC staff for their help.

I am a huge fan of the elixir optiweb electric strings. I decided to try these out on my 000. I am super disappointed. After about a month, they are still extremely stiff. I came down from 13s, made sure my guitar was set up to spec, but still somehow these were stiffer than the martin 13s on it before. If that's your thing they are great sounding strings that last a very long time.
