Long Lasting Tone | ELIXIR Strings

Why use ELIXIR Strings

Description
Who wouldn’t love more quality playing time between the hassle and cost of string changes?
Crafted to last, these nickel-plated steel electric guitar strings boast a warm, robust tone while the POLYWEB Coating brings a slick, fast feel to the playing experience.
For a more traditionally textured, “uncoated” feel and a brighter, punchier tone, try Elixir's electric guitar strings with ultra-thin NANOWEB Coating.
Of course, the kind of string you play is all a matter of personal preference. Not sure what tone or feel is right for you? Try them out for yourself, and find your new favorite string from Elixir Strings.

The only strings you buy again!
My wife's cousin who plays professionally turned me on to the Elixer strings a couple of years ago. They are all I buy now! These strings have excellent playing properties. They will bend with the best of them and the tonal quality is second to none. They are not "Tinny" sounding but have a full rich colorful tone. That's not the best part. I used to change my strings every 2 - 3 weeks. I get 2 - 3 months out of these! Keep them clean and they'll sound just as great 3 months after you've put them on. I have a set on my acoustic that been on for over a year! The tone is still great, no rust and excellent sustain! Try them - you'll be a believer!

To much coating.
They feel good and sound okay but I'm really disappointed in their appearance. The Polyweb coating makes it look like fishing line on my guitar.

I've had a DR String endorsement for quite a while in the past. I still have packs of strings left that are for emergencies. I was then introduced to Optima Strings and was in process of obtaining an endorsement from them... in the mist of the process i was introduced to Elixir Strings. It was a no brainer. The coating feels great. They sound warm. And they last longer and stay in tune better than any string i have ever tried. I'd rather pay for what i want rather than use something just because its free.
I would buy this product again.
