The Epiphone Emperor Hardshell Guitar Case is made of tough black Tolex, and is designed to protect your Epiphone Joe Pass Emperor II, Zephyr Regent, or ES-295. It features chrome hardware, a padded/plush interior, and accessories box. Dimensions: Exterior 44-1/2" x 18-1/2" x 6". Interior: 43-1/4" x 16-1/4" x 5". Accessories box: 7 1/2" x 4-1/2".


NOTE: The compatible case for the Emperor Regent (product #518545) is the Epiphone EJumbo Case (product #540802).

Great Case, Great Price

This is the case that houses an Epiphone Jazz guitar of mine, worth over a grand. It's very reliable. By that I mean, the locks stay locked and the cushion does it's job by protecting the finish and body of my guitar. Not only all of that, but it's a reasonable price. Buy one and you won't have any regrets.

The issue over at what price point a guitar includes a hardshell case is I am sure a bone of contention. It certainly is for me - a guitar player for 31 years I have watched this be an easy way for guitar manufacturers to put more money in their pockets. Putting that gripe aside - when I pay extra for a hardshell case, I expect to get a high quality case. This case is not at all high quality. It's cheaply made - I get the feeling that the clasps are not very durable, and the materials used both outside and inside are cheap. the good news - my Epiphone Joe Pass Emperor II Pro fits perfectly. the bad news, I don't have confidence that long term this will hold up. Epiphone seems to me to value profit above just about anything else about their instruments, and this case fits that profile.

    Ordered this online specifically because it says it fits Epiphone Emperor Regent. The Regent has a 17 inch body and the case is too small!!! Clearly bad information not the website. Terrible transaction!!!!

    Finding a hardshell case for my '59 Gibson L-50 proved very difficult! I ordered - and returned - a few from GuitarCenter.com that seemed like they would fit, but the shape of the upper bout proved problematic.I eventually determined that the ES-175 was more or less the same size and shape as the L-50 (and L-48). I then found out that the Epiphone Emperor was also the same size, and that there was a fairly inexpensive hardshell case available for that model. I'm happy to say it fits like a glove. The padded upper lid put a little pressure on the wooden bridge at first, but once the padding got broken in a little, that became a non-issue.

    It fits my Epiphone Swingster perfectly. I can even leave the bigsby arm on and still close the case which had been a concern. It's a very sturdy case.

    It will not. The body shape is just different enough it won't fit.
