Together, these pickups provide a wide range of tones, from warm and smooth to aggressive and snarling.

SlimTaper C Neck and 22-Fret Laurel Fretboard Enable Fast Playing

The Epiphone Firebird features a smooth-playing SlimTaper C profile neck made from mahogany and walnut. Its slim, rounded shape provides comfort and speed, allowing intricate solos and rapid chord changes. The Firebird's 22-fret Indian laurel fretboard has a 12" radius and trapezoid inlays for an authentic vintage feel. Combined with its low-action setup, the Epiphone Firebird's neck and fretboard facilitate fast, articulate playing across the fretboard.

Premium Hardware and Electronics Provide Exceptional Performance

The Epiphone Firebird includes premium hardware and electronics for enhanced playability and tone. It features Grover 18:1 ratio mini tuners for quick, accurate tuning; a Graph Tech nut for correct intonation; and CTS potentiometers for smooth volume and tone control. The guitar plays great, very comfortable sitting or standing, and sounds amazing! I never thought that I would care for this style, but I was wrong. I have many guitars (50+). Many different shapes and sizes. Just a side note, the neck feels a little longer than the average guitar and the nut feels a little more narrow. These differences are not significant, but noticeable. The guitar is well balanced (not neck heavy). I love the through neck. I feel that this allows for better tone and resonation. The guitar played OK out of the box. It did have some sharp frets. The action was a little high. I took it to my luthier for a complete setup and now it feels amazing.

  • This is an amazing instrument in all regards.

I feel this instrument is overlooked a lot with most people leaning towards strat & les pauls. As someone who's played schecter blackjacks & strats most of my life. In amazed I haven't gone to this guitar earlier in the 20 years of playing. I truly love its tone, heavy yet clean tone.

I jam with my friends twice a week with this guitar. It has an incredible tone, and really cuts through the mix of four other guitars. Easy playing, great feel.

This Guitar plays magnificent! So Smooth! I don't care if it was made in China. It plays and sounds great. Once I pick it up I just cannot put it down. I had a Gibson Firebird classic before and it never played this good, no matter what I did! I can't say enough about this Guitar. It is about 2 lbs lighter than the original Gibson firebird. The Grover tuner are so much better than the old original tuners that were terrible and clunky. I Love American made Gibson Guitars and have 2, but this guitar cannot be beat for the price! I honestly wouldn't take what I paid for it right now.

  • Very nice Firebird!

Other than adjusting the string height, it was good to go! I was able to compare this guitar to the name-brand model, and it held it's own very well (especially considering the cost). The pickups sound very good, and the overall playability is very nice. Would recommend. #sweepstakes

Bought on a whim. The set-up was terrible out of the box. Replaced everything with genuine Gibson parts for about $400. Love the guitar now that it's set-up and upgraded.
