Great case for Gibson EB-2
I needed a case for a Gibson EB-2 bass, which has a short scale (30.5") and a body that I believe is identical to the ES-335 guitar. The large semi-hollow body has made it difficult to find a case that fits. This is the only reasonably priced hard shell case I've found for it. It kinda makes sense that it's distributed by Gibson's sister company, Epiphone. I was surprised to find that it fits the EB-2 like a glove with no excessive room even though the Jack Casady Bass has a standard long scale (34"). The cases' interior is beautiful with lots of padding and room in the storage compartment for a strap and tuner or stomp box. The plush lining and snug fit really seem to baby the instrument. I am STOKED to have gotten this case, with discount, for under $120. So, are all things perfect in Caseland? No. If you read some of the other reviews of this case you'll see that it isn't a particularly heavy-duty case; the original Gibson case for my EB-2 weighed twice as much. I LOVE this case, but it should be considered medium duty protection at best, which is why I only gave it 4 stars. If a heavy speaker cabinet falls on it or a mike stand rams it when stuff shifts in the back of your semi, it's not going to cut it, i.e. I don't feel it's adequate as the sole protection if it's going to be thrown in the back of a semi with a bunch of huge PA cabinets. I'd probably get something custom if you're going on tour, but it is perfect for keeping your bass from getting banged up in your car's trunk or when walking through doorways or making your way down poorly lit backstage hallways or a thousand and one other situations. I feel that gig bags are a joke when it comes to transporting valuable instruments ANY distance, and this case is the MINIMUM protection for an instrument you care about. I would DEFINITELY recommend this case to a friend.

Needed this.
Guitar Center transaction and delivery were flawless. Less so is the quality of this hardshell case. While it is the ONLY case to fit the Jack Casady bass I am disappointed in the lackluster quality of its build. The "hardshell" is not that hard and would be questionable to put in baggage on an airplane. The latches are of inferior quality and feel that they could let go at any time. It's too bad considering the inside is plush and the bass fits quite well. Also too bad since we basically have no other choice than to purchase this case for this unique instrument.

The Jack Casady bass has a very specific size and shape, and this is the only case that fits it perfectly. Feels sturdy, and nice plush lining as well.
Worth the wait, worth the price

While I had to wait a considerable time for this case it was well worth it. The fit is perfect and it's built like a tank! Thanks again to all at Guitar Center for supplying such quality product and making the experience a pleasure.

I got a Jack Casady Signature Bass Christmas 2020 but I wouldn't take it out to gig without a hard case.Got a good deal on this one from MF.Overall the quality of the case is very good & the bass fits snugly. The way the handle attaches to the case has room for improvement.

How well will a Gibson Les Paul Bass fit in this case ?
Most les Paul Basses will fit in this really well. Some bodies have slight variations that may make it not fit as well.
