Guitar Center Customer Beware
The case is great, seems to be of good quality, and fits my bass perfectly. My only complaint is that it does not look like the case that I purchased. The photos of this case on Guitar Center's website are not photos of the case you will receive if you buy this item. Their photos show a rectangular case with four metal feet (for lack of a better term) on the bottom, the case that arrived is a weird trapezoid shape and only has three of these little metal "feet" on the bottom. Overall, I give Epiphone 5 stars for making a nice case, and Guitar Center "0" stars for not updating their website. What I received in the mail is not what is pictured on their website, that is kind of lame, disappointing, and bad business. But ultimately the differences are cosmetic and the case is very functional.

Poor quality assembly, large, heavy, very nice interior
Note that the case that ships now is not the black rectangular case that is pictured. It is a dark gray case that is angled. The case is nice looking, and has a very nice interior. It is perfectly formed to fit a Thunderbird, and provides a lot of padding all around to protect the instrument. Of course, in order to provide extra padding for a large bass, the case is very large and heavy. The accessory compartment inside the case is very large and has enough room for sheet music or a music book as well as typical accessories (strap, cord, etc.) The case I bought was supposedly new - not "open box". But, when I received it (in the original box, in a plastic bag inside the box), I found that it already had several scuff marks when I took it out of the box. The case I received was poorly assembled. The alignment of the hinges and the latches seemed to be slightly off. The lid did not align perfectly with the bottom of the case, and the case did not close completely on the body end - there was a gap, and the lining was visible. Also, the latches were not tight. When the case was closed and latched, there was about 1/8" play in the latches allowing the lid to move a little - it was not closed tightly, which was a concern. I returned it, and bought a Thunderbird case from another manufacturer. It is a good design, but quality control appears to be lacking.

Good luck finding a gig-bag anywhere for your Epi Thunderbird. It's 50.5 inches from the lower bout to the top of the headstock. This case is expensive but fits the bass perfectly & snugly holds it tight. Overall fit and finish is excellent. Has a BIG inside accessory compartment.
Great quality case.. but it is heavy!!

Perfect fit and thick lush inside. Only giving 4 stars because it is so heavy and weight wasn't noted on the description.

I'm considering purchasing this case to go with an Epiphone ThunderBird bass. Since there are many different models of an Epi T-bird on the market, I want to make sure it will fit an 'Epiphone Classic Pro-IV (4 string) before I pull the trigger. Can you please confirm or deny this to be true?
This will fit a Epiphone Classic Pro-IV.This will fit a Epiphone Classic Pro-IV.
