Epiphone Thunderbird '60s Bass Guitar Tobacco Sunburst

Description
The Epiphone Thunderbird '60s bass guitar, an incredibly accurate reproduction of the iconic electric bass that shaped the sound of rock and roll. Available in a Tobacco Sunburst finish, this Thunderbird '60s Bass blends vintage style with modern playability. Its mahogany and walnut neck-through design provides rock-solid construction, while its slim profile and fast-playing neck give it a familiar feel for today's bassists. Powered by Epiphone ProBucker 760 humbucking pickups that replicate the original Gibson Thunderbird pickups, this bass produces a warm, punchy tone perfect for classic rock. Individual volume knobs for each pickup, plus a master tone control with old-school top-hat knobs give you complete control over your sound. A Tune-O-Matic bridge and "claw" tailpiece anchor the strings to the body, completing the vintage vibe. The Epiphone Thunderbird '60s bass lets you harness iconic tone and style.
Neck-Through Design Delivers Sustain and Strength
The Thunderbird '60s bass gets its rock-solid construction from a 7-piece mahogany and walnut neck-through design with mahogany wings. This provides maximum sustain and durability. Its slim, fast-playing neck gives the Thunderbird '60s bass a familiar feel for today's players. The deep cutaway allows unimpeded access to the upper frets so you can explore the bass's full range.
ProBucker 760 Pickups Recreate an Iconic Sound
New Epiphone ProBucker 760 humbucking bass pickups are designed to replicate the original Thunderbird pickups used in the early 1960s. They produce a warm, punchy tone that helped define the sound of classic rock. Individual volume knobs for each pickup let you adjust the levels to your liking. The master tone control with an old-school top-hat knob provides overall tonal shaping.
Vintage-Style Hardware Anchors the Strings
A Tune-O-Matic bridge and "claw" tailpiece provide vintage style and securely anchor the strings to the body. Open-gear tuners with a 17:1 ratio combine vintage looks with precise tuning.

The pickups are amazing nice bright tone. Better than any other Thunderbird I've played, and better priced than a Gibson one. Classy appearance, and amazing sound. Highly would recommend.

This bass is totally awesome. It arrived in great condition, and with some tuning, ready to be played. This bass is used in a recording studio environment, and this Epiphone thunderbird makes an excellent addition to the collection of instruments. The one tiny issue, was with the Tone/Volume knobs. The small round tabs that say "TONE" and "VOLUME" keep falling out, nothing a little dab of glue doesn't fix, however, fresh out of the box, I had hoped they would last a little longer. It seems to be an on going issue, as I have encountered this problem on other guitars / basses previously
Awesome bass!

What a cool bass! As someone that is fortunate enough to have a solid bass guitar collection, this bass was a bit of a surprise. The tone settings are WAY more versatile than I had expected. Roll the tone back to get a great low end thump or play it wide open to make your notey riffs cut thru the mix. The action and intonation was fine out of the box, but I did raise the action a bit to accommodate my style. The only downside that I've found is that there is a slight neck dive, which would be expected from such a protuberant headstock. And there is an annoying sharp edge on the E string saddle which would only be apparent for players playing with a pick using a palm mute style… I'll attempt to turn the saddle around on the bridge so that the smooth edge rests on my palm (but don't let that scare you because who plays like that these days?) But, all in all, this bass far exceeded my expectations and it rose to the top of the herd as soon as it arrived.
I love this thunderbird, plays awesome!

What's not to love about this bass, for starters its sounds awesome with any amp, I bought the fender Rumble 200 and the stage quality is outstanding! Wonderful to handle and its looks will turn any head. The finish is beautiful!
Definitely lives up to the Thunderbird name

I had a Gibson Thunderbird years ago (when I was playing full time), but I sold and have regretted it ever since. I read several positive reviews of the Epiphone and decided to pick one up. I'm glad I did. The neck was true out of the box, with only minor bridge adjustments needed to get the intonation dialed in. The ProBucker pickups have a fantastic warm growl and the slim neck is really comfortable and fast. Definitely a first class reproduction of the original, neck-through body and all. Looks way and sounds great.
