Ernie Ball String Explorer: Electric Slinky Bass Nickel Wound 4-String

Ernie Ball: String Alloys - Bass Nickel Wound

Description
The 2821 Power Slinky 5-String Bass Strings from Ernie Ball are constructed of nickel-plated steel wire wrapped around a tin-plated hex-shaped steel core, these medium gage strings are designed to produce a balanced tone across the tonal spectrum. The nickel-plating provides an extra layer of protection against corrosion and tarnish, allowing these strings to last through many hours of playing.
Balanced Tone for Any Style
The 2821 Power Slinky strings are engineered to deliver a full, even tone regardless of playing technique or genre. Whether you prefer to fingerpick, slap or use a pick, these strings will provide a balanced sound with punchy lows, warm mids and clear highs. Their versatile tone also makes them a great choice for any music style from rock to jazz to blues. With these strings on your bass, you'll always achieve the tone you want.
Medium Gage for Standard Tuning
The 2821 Power Slinky strings feature a medium gage, measuring .050-.135. This gauge is ideal for standard tuning on most 5-string basses. The slightly heavier bottom end provides tight, focused low notes while the lighter top strings allow for comfortable playability across the fretboard. If you play in standard tuning and want strings that feel familiar under your fingers, the 2821 Power Slinky set is a perfect choice.
Built to Last
In addition to their great tone and feel, the 2821 Power Slinky strings are designed for longevity. The nickel-plating and steel core are naturally resistant to corrosion, allowing the strings to maintain their tone and playability for a long time. For players who want strings they can count on gig after gig, the 2821 Power Slinky set delivers.
Premium Strings, Affordable Price
While the 2821 Power Slinky strings provide professional quality tone and performance, they are available at an affordable price. Why pay more when you can get pro-level tone and playability at a price any bassist can afford?

I like how these strings make my bass sound much stronger and deeper. They also feel a lot stronger than my originals strings that came with my bass.
Nice Strings, especially the B.

Quality strings as I would expect from Ernie Ball. The heavier gauge of the B string makes it sound more clear/less muddy. Not much else to say, they are strings and they sound/feel good.

I need to know if these strings have tapered ends, since the basses I use are the top-load type tuners: the ends have to be small enough to fit into the tuner's posts....they are for a Warwick Corvette Rock-Bass and a $$ Rockbass. Please respond, thanks
