Description
The Ernie Ball 2835 Extra Slinky Round Wound Bass Strings provide bassists of all skill levels with a versatile set of strings that produce balanced, punchy tones perfect for a variety of music genres. Made in the USA, these round-wound, nickel-plated steel strings feature Ernie Ball's specially formulated alloy for long-lasting vibrancy and clarity. The 40-60-70-95 gage combination offers tight low end, focused mids, and crisp highs that cut through the mix.
Versatile Round-Wound Construction
The Ernie Ball 2835 Extra Slinky strings are constructed using round-wound nickel-plated steel windings wrapped tightly around a tin-plated hex-shaped steel core. This tried-and-true design produces full, even tones with a balanced attack, allowing bassists to achieve punchy and articulate sounds suitable for rock, funk, jazz, and more. The round-wound construction also provides a smooth feel that facilitates speedy fingering and complex basslines.
Light 40-60-70-95 Gauge
With gages of .040, .060, .070, and .095, the Ernie Ball 2835 Extra Slinky strings have an ultra-light gage that makes playing fast, intricate parts a breeze while still providing sufficient tension and output. The lightweight design significantly reduces finger fatigue, allowing for longer playing sessions. Despite the light gage, these strings still achieve a focused, piano-like tone with satisfying low end.
Trusted by Bass Legends
Ernie Ball strings have been the choice of world-renowned bassists since the early 1960s. Legends like Duff McKagan of Guns N' Roses, Matt Freeman of Rancid, and Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers rely on Ernie Ball Slinky bass strings to achieve their signature sounds. When you choose the 2835 Extra Slinky strings, you're getting the same premium, American-made quality that the pros depend on.
Long-Lasting and Affordable
While achieving full, balanced tone, the Ernie Ball 2835 Extra Slinky Round Wound Bass Strings also provide long string life and reliability. The nickel-plated steel wrap and tin-plated hex-shaped steel core are highly resistant to corrosion and gunk buildup, allowing for extended use before needing a string change. Despite their professional-grade construction, these strings are very affordable, allowing players to change them regularly to keep their tone and intonation in top shape.

I have been Using This strings for some time. They have good tone, good size for me and was getting them often. Some time ago changed strings and E(third) string had constant buzz. Okay I though it had some damage, its okay, things happen. Got another one. After those ones was used up and was time to get new ones, got new pair. Guess what. same E string has buzz. Come on Ernie Ball this isn't good. same string twice? Do you even check them before releasing to market? What are the odds of getting damaged strings twice? Pretty slim I guess.
