Description
The Ernie Ball 3220 Nickel Power Slinky Electric Guitar Strings deliver balanced tone and long-lasting durability for guitarists seeking chunky rhythms and powerful sounds. Now available in a convenient 3-pack, Ernie Ball's nickel-plated steel Power Slinky strings are precision engineered to exacting standards for consistency and optimum performance. Featuring a .011-.048 gauge combination, Power Slinkys have long been the choice of rock and blues players like Slash, Metallica and Kenny Wayne Shepherd for their thicker size and robust tone.
Fortified Core and Windings for Sonic Superiority
The 3220 Power Slinky strings are built around a tin-plated hex-shaped steel core wire wrapped in nickel-plated steel. This construction yields a tonal blend of bright highs, focused mids and tight low end. The thicker windings also produce a slightly higher string tension, enabling complex chords and low-end rumble with reduced fret buzz. Power Slinkys feel familiar to play while coaxing more sonic power and articulation from your electric guitar.
Precision and Durability Define the Power Slinky
As the pioneer of rock guitar strings, Ernie Ball is devoted to precision design and manufacturing. Power Slinkys are created using the finest materials and stringent quality control to ensure exact gauges, pitch and tone with every set. Built to withstand aggressive playing styles, Power Slinkys provide long life for maximum value. The reinforced windings are highly resistant to corrosion and everyday wear, keeping your tone powerful and your guitar in tune through countless gigs and studio sessions.
Convenient and Sustainable Packaging
The Ernie Ball 3220 Power Slinky strings come in sets of three for efficient storage and transport. The minimal packaging helps reduce waste while keeping your strings fresh until ready to install. An included reclosable pack allows you to keep any leftover strings sealed and protected. Power Slinkys are proudly made in California, USA from high-quality components under environmentally responsible processes.

Best Electric Treble Guitar Strings For Your Dollar
Been using Ernie Ball Power Slinkys for decades now. I've tried darn near all brands and gauges. You just can't beat 'em. Sure, Elixir may have a better tone, but for the price, you might as well get 3-4 sets of Ernie Ball, especially if you play/practice daily. Now, I do use D'Addario on my Satriani signature, but that's just for consistency. The only actual time I would recommend a string over Ernie Ball would be for an acoustic Taylor treble guitar. Then I would use Elixir strings are there is just something about that combination that brings out maximum sound!

So so
After few hours the strings lose tone and after a week of regular use they are rusty and need to be replaced. Usually this brand lasts up to a month under regular usage and cleaning.

Sounds and feels great to play. The thicker gauges are great for heavier songs. I constantly break the first string and i've had no problem with that when i moved up in gauge. My fingers slide across the strings with little to no noticeable friction. I've noticed that they take forever to rust too. could just be me washing my hands before to prevent rusting though.
