Ernie Ball: String Alloys - Nickel Wound Slinkys on the Cutlass HSS

Description
The Ernie Ball Ultra-Slinky electric guitar strings offer players a combination of light and heavy gages for tonally versatile and comfortable playing. Made of nickel-plated steel, these handmade strings provide a warm, balanced tone with longevity and corrosion resistance. The custom gage set of .010, .013, .017, .028, .038 and .048 blends the light playability of regular slinkys with the heavy low-end of power slinkys. This combination suits the needs of lead guitarists who want to bend easily without losing fullness for rhythm and chords.
Nickel-Plating Promotes Longevity and Warmth
The nickel plating on these strings helps prevent corrosion while promoting a warm tone. Players can enjoy the strings' balanced sound and feel for a long time before needing a change. The plating also helps the strings glide smoothly over the frets for comfortable playing and bending.
Hex Core Reduces Fret Buzz
The hexagonal core of these strings helps produce a clear, resonant tone with minimal fret buzz. The core's shape balances tension across the string for an even output. Players will appreciate the strings' ability to ring out fully without unwanted overtones.
Reputable Brand Used by Professionals
Ernie Ball is a prestigious brand that has earned a reputation for crafting high-quality strings used by famous rock musicians. Players can trust these handmade strings to perform with the same excellence that has made the brand iconic. The combination of light and heavy gages in these strings shows the brand's ability to craft strings suited for versatile playing styles.
Versatile and Comfortable Playing
The light top-end and heavier bottom-end of these strings' gage set allows for versatile playing. Players can pick lightly, bend and solo easily on the lighter top strings. The heavier bottom strings still provide enough tension for solid rhythm and chords. This combination of light and heavy in one set gives players tonally balanced strings that suit both lead and rhythm techniques comfortably.

MY NEW FAVORITE GTR STRINGS
I've used many strings over the yrs as most guitarists do. But I always go back to Ernie Ball. They are just simply the best quality and tone wise. I'm mad it took me so long to try these though. I love the slightly heavier bottom while still having the mid gauge on the highs that you normally get from the regular slinky set. They work great for standard tuning but work even better if you tune a half step down (my main tuning). Don't hesitate and get your pack or packs today. You won't be disappointed.

Good but lacking
Set up on my Jackson dinky. Had great overall "slinkyness" but lacked quite a bit on sustain when playing single string 8 count whole note. I feel my last set of extra light Elixer strings had these best by a long shot.
