Ernie Ball String Explorer: Electric Slinky Nickel Wound HH

Ernie Ball: String Alloys - Nickel Wound Slinkys on the Cutlass HSS

Description
The Ernie Ball Zippy Slinky Nickel Wound electric guitar strings are designed for players seeking the ultimate ease of play. With a gauge of 07 to 36, these nickel-plated steel strings provide the least tension of any Ernie Ball set, allowing for wide, expressive bends and lightning-fast shredding. Since the early 1960s, Ernie Ball strings have been the choice of legends like Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton and Slash for their balanced tone and longevity. Now you can experience the renowned Ernie Ball quality in an ultra-flexible set made for high-performance playing.
Feather-Light Gages Enable Extreme Bending
The Ernie Ball Zippy Slinky strings feature the lightest gauges in the Ernie Ball lineup, from 07 for the 1st string up to 36 for the 6th string. This minimal string tension produces a loose, comfortable feel ideal for complex soloing styles dependent on frequent wide-interval bends. Players can execute multi-step bends with minimal effort and retain tuning stability.
Nickel-Plated Steel Provides Signature Ernie Ball Tone
Like all Ernie Ball electric guitar strings, the Zippy Slinkys are made from nickel-plated steel wire wrapped around tin-plated hex-shaped steel core wire. This combination produces the balanced, crisp tone Ernie Ball strings are known for. The nickel plating contributes brightness while the steel core adds warmth and depth. Despite their feather-light feel, Zippy Slinky strings still deliver the full-bodied, articulate tone expected from Ernie Ball.
Reinforced Packaging Keeps Strings Fresh
Zippy Slinky strings come packaged in Ernie Ball's Element Shield packaging, which uses an airtight barrier to lock in freshness. Each set is factory sealed to prevent oxidation and ensure strings sound as new as the day they were made. Guitarists can keep extra sets on hand, confident they will stay in peak condition until opened.

I've played guitar off and on, from the time I was 11 or 12. I started playing 12's and over the years I have been going lighter and lighter. I did have to relearn not to mash the strings. I can play for hours and my hands don't hurt. I play with a feel that's so much more expensive.

Love the sturdiness of these strings, they can take a beating! I play rhythm guitar, so these strings are my go-to. Go to any "GC" (guiitar center), tell them what kind of player you are, they will have a recommendation- they are all players as well! That's what I like about the GC. If I don't know, I can ask!! #sweepstakes

Having never before encountered or used sevens, I invested. The return? My Traveller II loves them. Perhaps you will also? Likely. Try these super light strings. Enjoy the inspiration.

As I got older, began to lose hand and wrist strength. These strings fret better for me, and I can still bend a string if I need to.
