This high-quality, nickel-plated clarinet is designed to provide a rich, resonant tone that will inspire students to practice and perfect their craft. Etude clarinets are renowned for their ease of play, durable construction and responsive nickel keys—and the ECL-200 model is no exception. An adjustable thumb rest and included mouthpiece with ligature and reed complete the premium package.

Nickel-Plated Keys Provide Smooth Action

The ECL-200 clarinet's nickel-plated keys provide a smooth, snag-free fingering experience for beginners. Nickel-plating helps prevent oxidation and sticking keys, enabling young clarinetists to focus on proper fingering technique and speed. The nickel keys are also more durable than standard keys, standing up well to outdoor temperature changes and humidity.

Adjustable Thumb Rest and Mouthpiece Included

An adjustable thumb rest provides comfort and proper hand position for students of varying sizes. The included mouthpiece with ligature and reed allows students to start playing right away. With premium features and an affordable price tag, the Etude ECL-200 is an ideal first clarinet for aspiring musicians. Discover this remarkable beginner clarinet at Guitar Center today.

My child needed a clarinet for tue school band. After adding the rentals I found this one. The price was reasonable and the clarinet is preforming beyond expectations.

My mother bought me this clarinet about a year ago and around the middle of May (2023) it started to just randomly not allow me to play. I have been playing for now 5 years and have never had this happen with a clarinet. Whenever I tried to get a sound out it would not allow me. I wouldn't be able to produce a sound one day and then I could the next. It wasn't a me problem. (And I know that for a fact) I looked all over to see if I could spot any problem. I did not. I have no clue why. It wasn't a reed problem. It wasn't a stuck key or a broken part problem. Etc. I had asked my band director about it and he told me its because this clarinet is poorly made and cheap. I do not recommend it if you want a clarinet that works.

  • Great instrument for my daughter, however

My daughter received her clarinet yesterday. It only came with 1 reed which appeared to be chipped already. The reed broke completely after she had a short try out. So now, as I found out, the clarinet will not work until additional reeds are acquired. Order extra reeds

I've been playing clarinet for over seven years! I was very skeptical buying this clarinet due to the cheap price. My current clarinet is $1000. Surprisingly, this instrument isn't that bad! I put it together and played it right out the box for several minutes. The packaging could have been better being it is carrying an instrument. It came with cork grease and swab (very handy). The lid to the cork grease was cracked, but it's free. I will update this once I've had it for more than a day. But, thus far, the quality of the clarinet looks amazing. And it sounds great.
