RealFeel drum practice pads by EVANS, like the 6" RF6GM model, feature a natural gum rubber playing surface with a dark gray fabric finish which resists wear and tear, RealFeel practice pads provide the best substitute to an acoustic drum.

The EVANS RF6GM RealFeel 6" mountable speed pad is a 2-sided practice pad featuring a gum rubber and recycled rubber side. This is one of the best substitutes for acoustic drums, so you can practice rudiments, paradiddles or drum along to that song on the radio—all without disturbing anyone. Portable and quiet, it works on any surface, including carpet, table, lap or inside a standard snare basket.

This is the smaller version is also mountable. A 12" non-mountable version is also available (see SKU #100209237).

Good -- about what you'd expect. This is the 6" model and when I received it I was surprised at how small it really is. But it does encourage accuracy, which I want anyway, and it's very portable. If I were going to use it on top of my snare I would get the larger model instead.
