This pedal is incredible. It's also fun. Does all kinds of weird harmonic and synth functions that you could spend lots of time dialing in so many different sounds. It helps that you can save so many banks. My advice, get an expression pedal to go with it, makes fun even better. Enjoy.
The Eventide brainwave has struck again!

The future HAS arrived. Finally, a pedal-board Harmonizer! Unbelievably, Eventide has done it again! Packed with essential effects, useful features, MIDI, a logical knob-based interface and effortless USB upgradeability, to say the new PitchFactor ROCKS is an understatement! This stompbox literally encompasses the history of the Harmonizer, enabling an encyclopedia of pitch-shifting effects utilizing ten flexible algorithims. A stereo/mono device, input and output levels are switchable (line/inst, line/amp), with an additional programmable sensitivity adjustment for guitar, bass or synths. Virtually every parameter is programmable and accessible through MIDI, and you can connect any normal expression pedal (passive or control-voltage) for even more programmable real-time control (I use a Roland EV-5 with excellent results). For instant gratification, there are 100 built-in presets, including at least two inspired by Steve Vai. However, the interface is so intuitive I found myself writing my own settings immediately, and I've only used it twice! There's a relay-operated bypass system which gives you true-bypass, or two variations of buffered bypass. It's an Eventide, need I say more? I MUST! I can tell you unequivocably I have owned pitch-shifting devices by seven other manufacturers, and as much as I do like them, the PitchFactor SMOKES THEM ALL. The audio quality and purity were, frankly, exactly to my expectations; after all, this is an EVENTIDE HARMONIZER.
PITCHFACTOR, Absolutely Cool

This is the first truly usable harmonizer for the Pedal Board!! I have been using my Pitchfactor for about a week now and I'm absolutely in love with it. Unlike others I have purchased only to sell this thing can work in a signal chain. My live chain (as of today in sequence) Keely comp. OCD, Clyde Wah, Pitchfactor, Mini Deja Vibe 2, Holy Grail, TRex Replicator. (No, not all on at the same time!) It's a bit daunting to deal with all the knobs and their changing values with option selected but for live work I have a few basic sounds I kick in and I developed a quick ref to remind me where I set the dials. With the potential of this unit so great, the experimentation is well worth the effort. Gee kids, It will enable you with expanded creative options and amaze your family and friends!!! I really don't want to see many of you out there with this pedal. I like being the only kid on my block!
