Great Update For Your Squier Strat !

I ordered 3 of these recently to install in my 2008 Squier Standard Strat which I have been in the process of re-modding now for the last few weeks. These wouldn't fit in the holes of the pickguard of the Squier, so I had to take a knife and route out a little space for these which only took a few minutes. After that, installation was a breeze ,and to top it off, these also come with 0220 Capacitors as well, which is a welcomed bonus . After I installed them, the difference in the sound of my Squier was very noticeable and was quite a improvement with these in it. I highly reccommend these if you have a Squier Standard Start or Tele and want to improve the sound of it.

GREAT POTENTIOMETER... a few major issues.

The first thing is that the "pot" I received DID NOT have that long brass housing. And I'm following the link from the conformation E-mail. Instead I received a potentiometer that had a "steel?" housing that only measured around 1/4 of an inch with the washer and nut OFF! I however did get one with a brass shaft and the capacitor it came with was a matching resistance to an ugly green one that came in my old Telecaster so I guess that if I wanted a red cap instead I can switch them. there are a few very big plus-es for this "pot". The action was very tight, this is hard to describe; it takes more to turn the thing but it was a very VERY smooth. And to boot this doesn't have an Audio taper. It DOES conform to more of a linear taper. so it will be better to use as a volume pot. THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT, just be careful. This pot may not be long enough to fit on some guitars.

Bought these to upgrade the "dime-size" pots in a Peavey Predator. A definite upgrade in sound and quality. The only replacement pots I have ever used.

I wore out the volume control on my Squier Stratocaster. This is a drop in replacement. My volume control works perfectly now. No noise when I turn the knob. Volume increases / decreases smoothly and gradually. I used a 35 watt soldering gun to connect the wires. Installation took about 20 minutes. I had no problems with this potentiometer or installation.
