I don't know who makes these for Fender but I really like these strings. I've used many others but still string all my guitars with these.

Solid strings at an affordable price. Great value for money. Especially if you know you will need to restring again soon, these are an affordable way to get you by for a little while.

  • My string of choice

I've always liked 9-42 sets and that's what my guitar was manufactured to take. The Super Slinkys are definitely louder, more durable, slightly stiffer and last longer. If you're gigging they're a good choice. These strings are more fragile but imho have more balanced musical harmonics and can also pull a less Brit rock more americana sound. The high e string is like a thread and can break just as easily unfortunately. I wish Fender sold 6 packs of 009s because these are even slinkier than slinkies. My hand sweat destroys pure nickel sets pretty quickly. The plating on these is pretty good and they last a reasonable while for how inexpensive they are.

  • I think these are a great string for the Telecaster

I bought an Affinity Telecaster and I love it, but I also fell in love with the strings that came with it. So much so that I had to go to the Fender website to see what came installed with my guitar and it turned out to be these. They're kind of chimey and bright but not overly so. A good test for me is if they sound good unplugged and these sound awesome. I'm going to grab a bunch...love 'em.

I'm currently using these strings, and they're not the best. Every week or two, the high E string keeps snapping, sometimes even when I'm replacing them. Other than that, no other string has broken, and the tone is pretty good. Not the best buy, but you could make worse moves.
