Put in my 2012 American standard telecaster after upgrading to a hotter output pickup. Highs come through much better now!

good pot, but this are not going to fit your strat knobs! if you have regular knobs you should be buying split shaft pots, not this, overall, good pots.

  • CTS isn't what it used to be.. "Non-returnable", might as well flush your money down the toilet.

I love the stiffer-action solid-shaft pots so I bought several of these. I wired one into my guitar and I could hear a click/pop about halfway up. I've been wiring guitars for a long time but I figured maybe I overheated it. So I tested these before even soldering them into my guitar and they all do that. Straight out of the package, there's either static/crackling when wiggling the shaft and/or a click/pop noise when the wiper passes the halfway mark. Save your money, apparently CTS isn't what they used to be.
