Great flats!

If you're looking for some flats and you don't want to dig deep into your pockets, buy these now! I've used DR's and Elixer's and honestly, you really can't tell the difference... I play a Benevente 4 string and we tune down a full step (i.e. "E" to "D"). So I use these Fender Flats 55 to 105 and they always stay in tune. You just can't go wrong with these!

Do not work for me

Professional bass player for a lot of years. The strings 9050M are very stiff and difficult for me to play. They sound good but are not for me. I ordered the 9050ML and will post a review asap.

Fender's 9050 flats are now my favorite flatwounds of all time. They have a really good tension to them but they are far from being too stiff to play. Currently using the 55-105 set with the action set low, and they just feel and sound great. Really good lows and mids, and a nice spanking treble tone even when worn in. The green silk looks really cool too.
