This did not fit my bass and it also has the truss rod cutout mentioned by someone else not shown in the picture. The space for the pickup to go through was too small. I was able to modify myself, but a pain. I do like the quality, and if it fit right I'd say it was great, but it's a gamble

I purchased this for my '07 MIM midnight wine jazz bass. It fit perfectly. I get more positive comments on the way it looks. Whereas the original white guard looked a little stark (and cheap)in comparison, the black pearl really compliments the deep burgundy color. Looks like a high-end original option.
