These are good tuners if you are looking for the vintage aesthetic and slotted shaft for easy stringing. They also have a modern, desirable tuning gear ration of 18:1 which is not found on most aftermarket vintage style tuners, based on my research. Take note that these tuners fit modern 25/64 in. (10mm) tuner shaft holes found on standard necks, not vintage reissues (which have 8.5mm holes). They are drop-in replacements (no drilling required) only for the standard Fender sealed tuners or Fender locking tuners on necks with the two locator pins per tuner. I used these for a modern replacement neck and therefore needed to drill the two locator pin holes for each tuner which I found quite challenging to do without a drill press or jig. They were difficult to install straight, and I found myself redrilling pin holes using larger bits for some of the tuners to get them more in line with the others - very frustrating. So unless you have the correct tools or already have pin holes in your neck, it may be worth getting other vintage tuners with or without conversion bushings, depending on the tuner shaft hole size of your neck. I would give them 4-5 stars if you are fortunate enough to be able to drop these into your Fender-made neck. Also, these are branded with a "P" indicating that they are likely manufactured by Ping, and the Fender packaging indicates they are made in Taiwan.
