Fender Custom Shop Custom '69 Strat Pickup Set | Fender

collapse expand iconDescription

Fender Custom Shop '69 Stratocaster pickups produce one of the most revered guitar sounds in popular music history-the full, punchy late-'60s blues rock tone that ruled the era from Monterey on the West Coast to Woodstock on the East Coast. Because of the clarity and transparency created by the unique coil wind and magnet structure, the '69 pickup design works especially well with pedals allowing the low end to thump and the high end to soar.

I put these in my special edition Flip flop green blue Fender Stratocaster. They sound amazing. I love these. Definitely gave me the sound I was looking for.

Bought this set to use in two different guitars. I istalled one pickup in the neck position of a squier standard and used the other two pickups in the neck and middle position of a partscaster. The lows sound smooth, very piano like, while higher notes sound very clear and articulate without becoming brittle or harsh. I am happy with them overall in the positions I have used them in. The only thing I would change about them, would be to have them available without the vintage stagger pole pieces, but it isn't a deal breaker. They remind me a lot of 57/62s but take to overdrive better to my ears.

  • Love my new pickups

I replaced the pickups on my hss strat with the 69's and it has been wonderful. I just didn't like the humbucker sound at all. It lost all of the classic second position strat sound. Much happier now.

I bought these to put in my MIM Standard Strat. The difference is night and day. It sounds like it's right out of the 60's and I love it. If you're looking for those awesome scooped mids, bell-like tone, these are the pickups for you.

Put it in an '01 MIM Strat, turned it into a new guitar. Super Dynamic from clean to gainy. Extreme stagger on the pole pieces may not make too much sense with today strings ir when playing leads, put keeps crunched chords from beein too "top heavy" and keeps it well balaced. Can't compare to other Vustom Shop or regular Fender sets, but for me no need to look further.

Had been watching tons of vids for weeks on 54 vs 69 vs Fat 50... Lace Sensor Gold and finally I decided to go with the 69's...even in the vids the hum cancelling pickups seem to be missing something almost sounding compressed...well needless to say it took about 1-1-1/2 hours to install...came down to screwing in the pick guard dreading all the comments on the screws being too large and to my surprise, a little down pressure and they were in...set the pickup heights 1/16 from high E string (holding down the string on last fret) and low E picking at 12th fret (lowering pickup till the wow and fluttering sound disappeared) plugged in to my practice amp- Orange Crush 12 and checked all position switch...all good and I started to play and the sound of these pickups just blew me away...so glad I spent the money stock pickups suck...cant wait to play through my Marshall, Hughes and my Quilter...cant go wrong with these Pups...Guitar is a 2012 Nitro Satin

I'm sorry but no. Modifications are not available. In a case like this we recommend having a qualified guitar tech look at the guitar
