Pickups sound amazing. Clarity and they can take the gain cranked up, but still retain the Tele twang.
They came broke

I was having these installed at my local GC. The pickups arrived new and one was dead out the box. Fortunately the guitar tech had the Texas Specials (Fender) there in store. So, instead of Fender Gen 4 noiseless in my Tele, I have Fender Texas Specials. They are surprisingly good. Too bad on the noiseless ones did not work. But, reliability is paramount. After playing the Texas Specials for a week, I wouldn't switch them out. They sound great.
Probably didn't need them but worth every penny to me.

I bought a used American Tele from a man who said it was just sitting in his basement for years. Cosmetically it was perfect. But the sound wasn't great. Noisy, and easy to feedback. Soo decided to drop a set of noiseless pups in. When I went to pick it up, the Guitar Center tech said the ground was loose on the bridge. So I was wondering did I just spent money on new pups that I didn't need. Well it was all done so I figured I try them out. I love them! "Single Coils" you can put some drive into without the noise. The tone is perfect for how and what I play. Now I'm thinking of adding a set to my Strat. I was not disappointed at all with the upgrade.
Awesome pickups, great purchase.

I played an Elite Telecaster and really liked the sound of the new Gen 4 pick ups, so I purchased a set and installed them in my $399 used Fender Nashville Deluxe Telecaster along with an S-1 switch which gives me 9 different sounds. People started commenting about the great tone of my guitar. I can't say enough good about these pickups. If you're considering upgrading your guitar, play one of the new Elites. If you like the dead-quiet, smooth, and increased gain sound (which is more modern and less old-school Tele sounding) then here is a way to get an all new ax for about $150.
