I played this at the GC in Katy TX and loved it. The neck is slightly better than some Fenders because the Sedona factory is the Japanese influenced one there close to California, so you'll notice it has a slightly narrower and smoother neck. The 25 % off sale was just ending, so I wanted to jump on it. Plus it looks great. Even though I normally play a 5 string now, it makes sense to also have a good 4 stringer. This is a Limited Edition, so I recommend acting now.

I wanted to know if the good comments I was seeing about these basses were true. I drove to the local GC and was impressed immediately from 1st grab. The neck is wonderfully shaped, its thicker in the shoulders than the modern c I was used to, better. The weight of the bass was just what I want, heavy enough to resonate, but not so heavy as to give me back issues. The satin neck back was welcome. Tonally the pickups have some punch, strong, balanced, not as defined or clear on the high end, but pleasant. I currently have 8 Fender basses and play nightly, and while this one is the least expensive of the bunch, I love playing it. I also want to add that I find the finish mesmerizing. I am a nitrocelulose guy, and was concerned that the finish would be over the top, but I really like the flame maple in the blue and find myself staring into it often. I would highly recommend this bass.

Bought this beautiful bass on sale and also traded in a Danelectro bass so I got it for around $300. I am beyond impressed with the quality of this bass! If you didn't see the MX in the serial number you'd think it was built in Corona. NOTHING on this bass needed upgrading but because I like to mod I installed a Fender Hi-mass bridge, DiMarzio Relentless Jazz pickups and a black pearl pickguard. Now it is absolutely killer! I played a gig with it before the mods and it was still great. Get one of these before they're gone!

I went to 4 stores in 4 different states trying to find the bass for me- this is the one. I've only been in playing bass for a year and a half and wasn't sure I could justify leveling up to this from a Squier but once I played it I knew there was no going back.

This instrument is a beauty! It's a work of art. Each one is unique in its color tones and body pattern. The one I have has deep and rich purple shades. I've seen others with brighter blue shades that also look fantastic. I should also mention this bass sounds great and has a classic tone. If you're in the market for a Jazz Bass you should run to pick one up while these are still around!

  • Great Bass! Sound and quality exceed price point!

Was looking for a simple no gimmicks bass for lugging to and from practices. Now it's my favorite bass to play. Simple pick up control knobs. Light weight & not fancy but feels high quality. Blue burst color looks better in person than photos. Out of the box, had a little fret buzz.
