A must for any strat player

I have a Clapton Strat that comes stock with this kit. It really makes the guitar heavy sounding and with a tube amp you can do no wrong with this kit. I will say if you run distortion pedals a lot turned up on the gain you will have problem with feed back even when the master volume is down all the way if the mid boost is on it will feed back. This works best in tube amps with master volumes. Set the Gain to your likes on the tube amp and you'll be fine. If your Tube amp doesn't have a Gain knob then turn your master volume up on your amp to as high as you can stand it with the mid boost off. Then turn it on. Its the only way to get that late 80's to now Clapton sound.

Poorly packaged, didn't work, no confidence in online GC.

Came in an old used bag with parts just thrown in and two water damaged paper instruction sheets. Installed any way, it did not function. Checked provided instructions and looked at instructions on the internet, it was installed correctly. Big hassle for nothing. Only good thing was return process was quick and easy.

    A challenge to install. You have to rout to make room for it and the 9v battery. Quite a bit of soldering too. And the stereo jack is difficult to fit in the standard body. On a posvit note, it sounds good! Really beefs up single coils. Very humbuckery. Also good for making leads jump out of the mix when the sound guy is stoned.

    What does the push-pull pot do? I have searched for info on this and there's a lot about the TBX tone control, but nothing about the push-pull. Does it work like the Lincoln Brewster 10db boost that is deactivated when the pot is pushed in?

    The battery and circuit board connect to the control pots, so it would be in the control cavity.
