I compared my Fender Strat with tex-mex pickups to several more expensive strats by playing them through the same amp. The more expensive ones sounded better. I ordered these vintage pickups and the Guitar Center installed them for me. I couldn't be happier with the results. #sweepstakes

I just replaced my pickups in my Squier Strat and it truly makes a worlds difference. It does the SRV or Hendrix tone perfect, and they're very versatile. Highly recommend for anyone looking for the perfect vintage tone with high quality.

Perfect choice for building a custom 1965 Strat to match my 1965 Mustang convertible! These pickups have the exact vintage tone I was looking for. They do have some wax on them but they feedback great when you want them to! They even have the green tint to them. I needed black covers so I sprayed some old covers with VHT vinyl die which works better on plastic than paint does. Only problem is the plastic covers don't sit flat because of the wires coming out of the pickup. Fender should really consider notching the bottom of the cover so it will sit flat. I also used a hotrail in the bridge position for the dirty channel and got all 3 pickups balanced out These pickups sound great for the vintage tone I was trying to get!

  • A definite upgrade over stock Strat pickups

I put these in my 1994 MIJ Strat and it sounds amazing. These PU put out very warm sweet, clean tones or searing ones with overdrive. These are the best pickups I have ever played!
