Amazing
I love this Amp, The Perfect size for practicing in you room. Now I can plug my Phone/music player, headphones/IEM, and Bass into this amp and can play along with my songs or drum tracks. I can't speak enough about this amp to my friends. I was a little worried at first about getting the Fender Rumble V3 15W 1x8? bass combo but from the first moment I turned it on and heard the tone/punch out of this amp it blew my mind. The sound is amazing and super lite for home practice use. I have been playing bass for 22 years and again this Fender Rumble is the Perfect practice amp. I got this amp at Guitar Center for a great price and customer service was top shelf.

Not enough amp for a high output pickup.
My only bass guitar is a 68 Kalamazoo with a Sidewinder (mudbucker) pickup. I got tired of hauling heavy amps around for practice behind acoustic guitars and voices. Hence, the desire for you lower output lightweight unit This seemed to be what I needed. However, the output of the old pickup in this guitar was just too much for the amp. At volumes of around 1/3 of full power it began to give me a crackly distortion with the initial attack on the string. My old 60 watt Peavey and 200 watt Traynor just don't do these things. Unless you kept it way down and the guitar volume pot at 3 or less, this amp gagged on the signal. I took it back and used the money toward the 25 watt Rumble. Still have to be careful or I get distortion, but better than the 15W version. If you have a high output instrument, this amp is not for you. Just not the headroom needed. It seems that for clean sound I just plain need a bigger amp for this old beast. All that said, the folks at GC were very helpful and accepted the return with no difficulties.

I simply used it to complete the exercises in my theory books. It is not too load so it doesn't bother my wife and kids when I play late in the evening

I own and gig with the Rumble 500 (excellent amp). This 15w is a practice amp. Tone snobs and unrealistic expectations look elsewhere. It works for me. Portability and decent tone. Headphone jack quiets the whole process. It's enough. Get to work.

Can I use any pair of headphones with this amp? I have a pretty old pair of Sony over-ear headphones. I am considering getting new headphones but I don't know what would give the best sound. Looking for something fairly cheap between 20-40$.
