Fender Rumble Series Amps

collapse expand iconDescription

This evolution of Fender's ever-popular Rumble bass amps builds on the phenomenal success of Mustang GT, the world’s first WiFi-equipped guitar amp. Rumble Stage 800 and Rumble Studio 40 harness the potent processing power of Mustang GT to deliver a treasure trove of features and tone shaping bassists at all levels will love.

These Rumble marvels give bassists mastery over every kind of tone they want, from smooth warmth to guttural punch to snarling overdrive and more. Dozens of amp and cabinet models recreate the sounds of prized historic favorites, from Fender’s original "TV-front" Bassman amp of the 1950s through the stadium-shaking monster rigs of the ’70s and ’80s to the best in modern-day bass amps.

Studio-quality delay and reverb effects abound, along with extensive compression and EQ flavors, and distinctive bass-specific favorites such as octave effects with remarkable tracking, an envelope filter that truly brings the funk, the synth-emulating Octobot and more.

Rumble Studio 40 is perfect for practice and recording. With full-sounding output in a compact design, features include a 10" woofer, compression tweeter with on-off switch, versatile XLR line outputs for live or studio use, Wi-Fi connectivity for software updates and cloud access to more tones, USB output for recording, Bluetooth audio streaming for playing along with tracks, Fender Tone app compatibility, headphone output and more.

Finally a bass amp with all the bells and whistles!

I watched as guitar amps recently had all these great features, but no bass amps were being sold with wifi and bluetooth connectivity... and then BAM! Finally!!!! I sold all my pedals and now my setup is super simple. I use in-ear monitors so I don't need a monster setup to lug around, an this thing is so light. The footswitch works great... For around $400 i am set :)

AMP Great; Connectivity Awful

Fender Rumble Studio 40: Great amp, awful Bluetooth. Standalone, it's fantastic: versatile modeling, intuitive interface, excellent effects. Perfect for practice & recording. BUT the Bluetooth is a disaster. Streaming audio is a frustrating mess, prone to dropouts and amp freezes. Connecting to the Tone app prevents streaming. Even simple song changes crash the connection. A crippling flaw in an otherwise great amp. Avoid if wireless audio is crucial.

This amp is a gem! Big sound, small footprint, reasonable price, great versatility. I use it for my basses and all my guitars. Highly recommended!

I upgraded from a basic beginner amp to this and it's a lot of fun using all the built in effects and amp/speaker types. The sound is full and loud in a home setting. I wanted something to compliment my new Fender Precision bass and I'm very happy with the results.

I got this mainly as a practice amp. It fits that need perfectly. I love all the built-in effects and amp modeling. I don't have to use pedals anymore. Plus with all the modern connection options and Bluetooth, it's perfect for what I need.

  • Good practice amp

Purchased this amp for my daughter who is leaning bass. Good for practice with lots of functions for both beginner and experienced players.

The sound is awesome but the Bluetooth connectivity is horrible. Been in contact with fender 3 times. Have done everything they say, but the Bluetooth hardly ever connects and when it does it only stays connected for a few minutes. Then its almost impossible to reconnect.

Since the amp itself doesn't have a built in tuner, would the tuner on the Fender GTX-7 Footswitch still work?

The GTX-7 footswitch is designed specifically for the Mustang GTX series and is not compatible with the Rumble Studio 40. Its tuner function will not work with the Rumble Studio amp.

Yes, the Fender Rumble Studio 40 does include a noise gate effect as part of its onboard digital effects suite. This feature is accessible through the amp's menu system or via the Fender Tone™ app.

Hi I purchased the amp less than a year ago. But it has Bluetooth connection issues. I contacted Fender and they said I need to visit Fender authorized repair center. Is there any way to solve this by guitar center?

Has anyone used this with the direct line out to a PA, and if so would it be substantial for a small gig?

I have actually used it, where it's too small to use on it's own if you direct line it out then you'll be set.
