The straightforward Fender Vintage Reissue '59 Bassman LTD 4x10" guitar combo outperforms most of the fancy amps on the market today. In the 1950s, the Bassman was perfect for amplifying a new invention, the Fender Precision Bass. This 50W rig allowed the bass to hold its own on stage with drums, electric guitars and miked piano, the common instrumentation of the day.

Over the years, it also won the hearts of guitarists who, after experimenting with all kinds of preamps and effects racks, found its simplicity, great tone, excellent dispersion and touch-sensitive dynamics a true pleasure. This reissue is true to the original while adding several enhancements: U.S.-made GT-6L6 output tubes, improved 12AX7 preamp tubes and an internal bias pot, making it easier to experiment with other output tubes. It also features a genuine lacquered tweed covering, solid finger-jointed pine cabinet and an original-spec 4AR4 rectifier tube for natural compression when you play hard.

The Vintage Reissue '59 Bassman LTD comes with a fitted cover.

This is a 5-Star amp for sure & it makes all the sense in the world why Jim Marshall used this amplifier as the basis &/or template for his upcoming Marshall enterprise about 70-Yrs ago. In fact, I have it positioned right next to my Marshall short-stack (410H w/1960 4x12 Cab) and they are virtually identical twins of beautiful sound that is so pure or raunchy. This is a KEEPER. This is my 8th amp it will remain in my small home office/studio.

  • Great amp. Quick delivery.

I bought a used one at my local Pittsburgh Guitar Center on Black Friday. I had no intention of buying anything but when I saw this amp I had to have it. I heard so many great things about it and heard it on records I love. Plus it was always discussed by artist I respect and listen to. I never make a decision that fast on a big purchase like this amp but after playing it there and walking around thinking "should I get it?" The answer was yes! This amp rocks and sounds amazing with my strat. I usually keep it on 5 which is plenty of volume for me. But it still sounds clean at high volumes. The bright channel is nice. It has a more open feel to it over the normal. I use a A/B switch to go between the two and also play both channels at once. You can get the Hendrix sound and all the classic blues sounds. Worth every penny!!

  • The real deal!!

This amp is only a month old. I just like to look at it. When I play it? My body gets all warm and fuzzy. The sounds at low volumes are really nice. The sound of the real pine cabinet blow my deluxe reverb out of the water. It's amazing!!

  • It is the ultimate amplifier

I had this amp for 3 weeks now. It is proving to be a tone monster! From the wood used to the workmanship. If you play any type of guitar style, This amp, with the use of pedals does it all! The warm sound is there and I am not changing tubes or anything, It is not even broken in yet and the sounds at lower volumes make you play more and longer. It is the perfect guitar amplifier! I highly recommend this. It is a keeper!!!

No. This is actually a guitar amp. It has an open back, not suited to bass.

I just had to return one of these amps because the v1 tube was rattling through the speaker. It's that a typical problem?
