This gyroscope exercise ball does function, and provides quite a forearm workout. But the one I received is rather notably unbalanced; at speed it hums with vibration, and if held loosely it makes a terribly loud, buzzing clatter. So loud and unbalanced it makes me reluctant to use it.

I was playing guitar all weekend and it was killing my hands. By the time I got to some of the last sets I was playing, my hands were cramping up and I didn't have the strength left to bring out softer tones. I looked online for strengthening tools, and most of what I saw isolated finger strength, but I needed something to strengthen my fingers, wrist, and forearms altogether. This product is amazing. It doesn't really appear as though it would do much, but the benefits are remarkable. The first couple times I used it I was awkward with it and lacked the coordination to really get a lot out of the motion. But after a couple times, and now after several weeks, I can truly say this was worth the money. I have noticed leaps and bounds in my overall arms strength and can sustain difficult positions for more time. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the end on the 'ripcord' broke after a little use, but pretty easily fixed by tightly wrapping scotch tape around the end. Great product-Great results. I would recommend it to any serious musician.

Picked one of these up at the NAMM show and have not regreted it. It has improved my dexterity, my picking speed, and my endurance of the hands. It takes a little time getting used to and can be tricky to learn how to start, but afterwards its a great tool to have. I picked one up for my buddy who plays guitar and he loves the benefits too. Not to mention its so easy to just do while sitting watching TV. A great tool with so many benefits for such a low cost.
