Fishman Bluegrass Series Rare Earth Banjo Pickup

This is the 3rd pickup I've put in my old banjo that is well used in a working band. This pickup is far and away better than the other two. Great clear pre amped sound!

I've struggled to amplify banjo for many years. I've also tried many of the leading name brand banjo pickups. The Fishman rare earth pickup has a powerful signal and good, balanced tone. The quality is also impressive. I would buy it again and recommend it to a friend. Johnny Banjo

The unit would not fit between the banjo head and the truss rods, the bracket is too tall for a banjo with a back, the battery holder had to be mounted in a different location, and the 1/4" jack bracket would not fit, forcing me to make my own. I have done these kind of installs before, but never had to modify a product this much. I know the warranty is now void on my new pickup as a result. I will say however, it does sound great once installed. I am not so sure I would recommend this particular pickup, unless you are able, and willing to buy it, and be ready to remodel your new pickup, or your banjo.
