Fishman

collapse expand iconDescription

The Neo-Buster Humbucking from Fishman combines their popular Neo-D Humbucking pickup with a feedback-fighting soundhole cover to give you great sounding acoustic tone, even in your loudest performances.

This humbucking magnetic soundhole pickup produces a warm and full sound while also greatly reducing hum and unwanted interference. It also shares the same neodymium magnet structure as the award-winning Rare Earth pickup for exceptional string balance and incredible acoustic clarity. It’s low-profile, high impedance design needs no battery.

When you need to play in high-volume situations, the integrated soundhole cover reduces the build-up of energy inside the guitar that often leads to uncontrollable howling. Made of a flexible elastomer that will not react with most finishes, it requires no tools for installation and fits most flat-top guitars with a 3-7/8” or 4” diameter soundhole.

Covering the sound hole is key to fight feedback. Pros: Works as advertised. Reasonably priced. Simple to install. Cons: May not fit all sound holes; may move/rotate if it doesn't fit snugly. Ensure pickup stays in position while playing. It's passive; no tone or volume controls.

Great pickup. I'm using it with a Sansamp Acoustic DI and it works as expected. Plenty bottom end and no feedback.

Have a 3-7/8" sound hole so removed the outer ring. Took a bit of manipulating to get It to seat properly and out of the way of the strings. Once installed and plugged in, very pleased with the acoustic sound and representative of the guitar sound. Good low, middle and high end. For less than a hundred $$, can't complain.

This is the perfect pickup for a performing guitarist. Easy installing and removal from my Martin GPCPA4 without any damage to the soundhole. Fits snugly and eliminates feedback. I use this pickup through a Boss compressor/sustainer through one channel of my Fishman Loudbox Artisan amp and use the second channel for the guitar's Fishman F1 through Bodyrez pedal. The balance of this setup sounds awesome. Full, warm and brilliant with the added sustain that my fingerstyle playing requires. Adding a EH Nanotube pedal to this pickups chain allows me to play cello-like swells. I run my chain through a Morley Quad so I can split the two pickups when I need to.
